More than half the bites we get from fish are from fish that are not feeding. Curiosity and Reaction are the keys to more productive days. For more underwater camera info check out this link www.aquavu.com...

What a great perspective. Very cool to see how underwater footage like the stuff you've captured can be used to learn about behaviour.

Yeah it’s the 49 people who still can’t catch a fish even if you tied it by the tail to their line 🤣 Keep up the wonderful content John! 👍🏻

Those lake trout strikes are savage, they come in so hard, fast, and accurate.

Wow. I really learned alot there. Its really changed my whole concept on fishing. Your right. Fish dont just put something in there mouth cos there gonna eat it. Just like we dont just pic something up to eat. They use there mouth to explore. Thanx for the insparation. Ill be shore to share this video. Thanx. Xx

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaa 5 seconds in perch attacks the schmoo on the line.....resulting in a belly hooked perch :) That's pretty funny

Never noticed that. I think that perch hit the top bait and the spoon is just dragging.

Love the approach these videos take. Not trying to sell me a lure, rod, or electronics. Not trying to give me a new trick. I like how your videos are based in biology and fish behaviour and don’t just take things for granted. Sure, the walleye bite heats up at four o’clock in the afternoon, but *why*? Sure sometimes perch are finicky, but *why*?

I see this with flea beetles on canola plants. They take a test bite, and if they don’t like it, they try a different plant.

INCREDIBLE VIDEO ! and something I've been trying to stress on many forums under the user name Senkosam and Spoonminnow. I've proven over and over the ideas presented having caught fish on a huge selection of lures I make, including mold pours and hybrid soft plastic lures (the parts of two different lures fused together with a candle). Keep up the relaying of the truth why fish bite, downplaying the food stimulus/identification creed so many want to believe and buy lures in line with it. Again - excellent!

John, would you say that most of the curiosity strikes come from actively jigged lures? Does it depend on the species, particularly yellows?
