Thank you for the very detailed video. Too many people rush through the DIY. I spent a good 4 months (on top of 45+ hour work weeks) doing crown molding in our 4 small bedrooms, our master bedroom, the living room, kitchen, dining and hallway. Next step is window trim. I've been thinking about the Craftsman style for some time and this looks very close to what I wanna do. I like the style of cove. Thanks again.

The piece your calling a bead that is on the bottom and I know you mention is 1/2 inch stock. There are very few places right around me that carry 1/2 in stock and you mention you rip these on your table saw. How hard is it to rip these pieces without having a lot of saw marks? Also, what size round over bit do you use on the bottom bead?

Your videos are GREAT! for the top and the bead do you only round the fronts not the sides? Cheers!!!
@GotItMade11 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the kind compliments. I only rounded the front so the sides would look a little less polished and more rustic. However, looking back I think they might have looked better if I would have either ran those ends through the round over bit also or made a mitered return. Good luck!

Great video and demo! Question though, is there a certain amount of clearance I need to leave between the frame and/or drywall in order to fit shims or have some adjustment room? Also, what is the thicknest of the wood used?
@GotItMade8 жыл бұрын
+Hector cervantes Thanks for watching. Just leave enough to shim it square.

Great work, excellent attention to detail. May I ask.... what paint kit are you using in the video?

Thanks! I appreciate the compliments. The spray system is called a FujiSpray Mini Mite 4. I have a two part video review of it on my channel page if you want to see more detail about it. Here's the links: Fuji Mini Mite HVLP Paint Sprayer Review Pt 1 Fuji Mini Mite HVLP Paint Sprayer Review Pt 2

I noticed you moved from a jessem router table to a kregg router table - any particular reason? Which one do you prefer at this point?
@GotItMade8 жыл бұрын
It's a Kreg table with a Jessem lift.
