The smile on this guy is worth a million bucks!! I am guessing if you are depressed or feeling down all that would change after having a conversation with him. That haircut looks awesome, makes his personality have an upper hand in allowing his personality to shine, good job. Thumbs up 👍👍👍

I agree. God definitely blessed Eric with good looks and an award winning smile; a great gift to have in this life that as you say, just cheers people up. (just control that ego though! ; ) ). With all that, he could potentially even do well as a Hollywood actor if he chose to, perfected by a talented hair stylist like TheSalonGuy! Good luck to you.

That was the most informative video I've seen you do. Thank you. I was dreading you talking us through what you'd already done, so to see you actually cut a real guy was fantastic. More real time real cuts please. I qualified at barber school 2 yes ago, I've had my own shop for a year but I'm still scared of a lot of cuts so this was very reassuring to watch. It kind of confirms what I know and gives me more confidence

Nice styling job. This timeless style was popular when I was in Jr High many years ago then years later revived (as all styles eventually do) but had that more bowl cut (Moe and Shemp Howard look) and shaved side look which I don't care for. It reminds me of someone needing a shaved area for surgery. Anyway, I like the longer sided layered back look that you do here. It works well on Eric.

Been waiting on this video for a while. So cool that I am just having a Starbuck's and watching. Michael Easton on General Hospital (Character Hamilton Finn) has this cut, and I am mesmerized by his feathery layers, but it isn't a "dated" 70's vibe. ANd he's old enough to have worn it back then.

Unfortunately, people that say “ I wish my stylist would....” are the same people who pay $15 for a haircut. You are a premium stylist who can take his time to tailor a haircut for each actual person. Also, some clients bounce around so much from person to person and don’t give a stylist time to get to know their hair.

Gabriel Zavala I’m sure you have the money. Learn to budget for what’s most important. If you are already doing that and hair is in the budget, then you don’t care as much as you think.

If a hairdresser (whether barber or salon ) screws my hair the first but I still pay full price why should I owe them a second chancre. Surgeons don’t get to write off their first attempt bc they hadn’t seen your brain before the n. Plenty of stylists do it very well on the first appointment, if I’m paying $60-90 for a men’s cut I expect them to fo it well or admit they don’t know how yet, their honesty would likely earn them a generous tip (and I don’t live in a country that tips)
@pimpmyride72789 ай бұрын
@@Jordan-ec1sh apples and oranges. No one dues from haircut mistakes. Anyhow, I didn’t say you couldn’t get a good haircut on the first attempt. You said that. Besides, as a hairstylist, it takes time to know your client. We learn your style, your quirks, your dislikes etc. that is what I meant.

Great video. All men with longer hair should have their hair cut in a salon, because barbers simply can't do cuts like this. All they do is scalp men with those stupid fades. I won't let my grandson get his hair cut in a barber shop. He gets it styled, and I hope he always will.

Great haircut, I was looking for this style but every time I found a tutorial, they always tend to cut the sides too short almost shaved and too much hair on the top of the head but this video looks more like the classics medium men haircut. 👍👍👍👍
@JohnDoe-jt4ju3 жыл бұрын
Many many years ago they used to cut and layer it like this. In fact, my barber (long passed) did not cut hair straight through with scissors. Instead, he used to tug on the hair with the scissors almost in a sawing motion while barely closing the blades. This would scatter the cuts to the individual hair strands (feathering and layering it). Have not seen this technique done since. After the mid 80s it seemed to get modified into this shaved sides and heavy hair on top look.
