I haven’t done the mascara thing myself, but as a dude who has worn makeup quite a few times (yes I’m queer lol, but these tips might be helpful), I would DEFINITELY recommend using a makeup setting spray. That way if someone (or you!) touches your face they won’t end up with black streaks on their hands lmao. Also! If you have a lighter colored beard, a better alternative would probably be an eyebrow gel (the kind that comes on a wand, like mascara) in a matching color ✌🏻 good luck dudes

Barber buddy taught me a really good rule of thumb. Two fingers width from the Adam's apple. Going to high makes you lose you're chin shape and also makes it more likely to look like you've got a double chin. Ya dun screwed up my dude.

This is the heavy stubble look and that's fine if that's your style (the neck line is too high imo). If you're more laid back and don't care that much about looking sexy, then grow a long beard and start brushing/combing it to straighten it out rather then trimming, lining and constantly doing the detail maintenance. Just some balm and brush after shower should do it for the day and weekly trim should keep it from changing too much.
