My grandpa trolls for large mouth we average 10 bass everytime we go here in Michigan it's 5 bass per person and has to be atleast 14 inches we had 3 people in the boat a couple times and got 15 bass keepers trolling is awsome if you know how to do it

Almost all of my Largemouth have come while trolling, almost all my Smallmouth bass have come while trolling too. I have found that Trout, Bass, Perch, Crappie and Walleye will all hit the same Rapala lures trolled in 15'-25' of water at 2mph.

Hello sir. I’m 15 and I just recently bought a vhull for fishing. I am very interested in trolling, and enjoyed this video. But I have a question, why do you use those big salt water baitcasters? Can I just use a normal smaller reel?

I use those, because I have them. You can use any reel as long as it holds enough line and you can control the amount of line you have out and accurately know what it is. I bought a couple smaller line counter reels this week that will work fine. I also use a couple smaller spinning reels spooled up with Power Pro Depth Hunter that changes color every 25 ft. 50 ft out is two colors, 100 ft is four colors, etc. Knowing and controlling the line out is the key feature.

Around 40 lb, it varies with the pole. There's a lot of timber in the lake I fish, and stronger line leads to fewer break offs when lures get snagged.
