Hi, thanks for the video, very eye opening. I'd like to ask what I think is very important regarding the modules that connect to the radio in the cockpit. Are the fibre optic cables navigation, audio gateway, voice module, etc multi-mode or single-mode? I'm asking because I removed the Bluetooth dongle from inside my armrest compartment to free up space for my actual phone, and that caused the radio to stop working. I'm just wondering if I can splice the in and out cables to close the loop. Thanks.

I bought male and female loop connectors...but do not see a fiber optic plug going into the teleaide module...there is a plug, but it is not the same as the loop and the wires going to it are black... help me please!

Thanks for the video! I’m having the same issue you mentioned with the tail light module. My audio will cut out intermittently for a few seconds then turn back on. Do you still think that’s an issue with the tail light module? Or the voice module? If I discover that the issue is the tail light module do I need to replace it? Or can I leave it bypassed? @@tylertex no, it has nothing to do with the tail light module. Any module with fiber optic connector could cause this issue.

I tried searching for my problem here but didnt find any answer - My 219 Cls with PremiumAudio(HarmanKardon) should have the option for SurrroundSound/Logic7 music modes, but it lacks it. Only the fader and balance, bass and treble can be controlled from Comand. Do you know if that could be a problem with Audio Gateway, or more likely to be Comand's problem? my radio unit does the same. the problem that the AGW and the Radio draining the battery, i took out fuse 6 in the trunk and fuse 26 near the driver side. does it worth to buy the bypass lollipop and give it a try, or need to replace the AGW. Thank you.

You could bypass voice module if your car has one. Otherwise you need to replace the audio gateway and find out because you can't bypass the audio gateway.

C class system is different. Anyhow your radio/cd player in the dash board is bad assuming that the fuses are good.

Purchased tele aid and audio gateway module..the orange sticker says "once installed this control module contains vehicle specific data.installation in another vehicle is strictly prohibited .please refer to service literature for proper service and replacement procedure" which is for the tele aid module.the module was pulled from another car same year same engine .when I purchased the car it didn't come with books or service manual ..

We don't have any video for 203 chassis but usually if your radio power up and has display, the problem most likely is the amplifier or CD changer. First bypass the CD Changer if still no audio then the amplifier is faulty, assuming all the fuses are good.

I have the same symptoms, I went to do diagnostics, the unit came to life before I got to the mechanic, he found that my antenna is faulty. The CD played, radio didn't. Next day unit was dead again, and never loaded more than Logo. Antenna module is hard to reach on MB R320, don't know what I'm going to do.

Ok so I narrowed it down. I think it’s my Audio gateway I checked all the other audio components with the fiber optic. Smh and the radio still doesn’t work but I keep getting static and then the radio just shuts off. I also found out my left taillight has been getting rain on so I believe the rain has messed the audio gateway up so no radio until I get that fixed, by any chance do you know how much it will cost to get a audio gateway installed for a 2008 e350?

Thank you. The video is very helpful. I have a 2007 ML350 with Harmon Kardon upgraded sound system. When I turn on the care, everything works, but after a minute or two the sound cuts off. I have tried replacing the Amp and the Audio Gateway under the seat with used ones I found I found on eBay, but the issue could not be fixed and I have tested the Command unit and that is fine as well. I did not however use a scanner to reset things after the installation of these components. Do I need to do that before these parts start working or could the issue be something else I am missing. Check to see if the car is equipped with a satellite tuner module, if it does have one, bypass it and hopefully it would fix the issue.

@@chibrator8150 In this video we are talking about Audio Gateway Module. You are referring to Gateway network module which is normally located under the dash board. Part number looks like 2034450000. You might have a open optic line then you could get this error message instead. Bypass the CD Changer and check the system again.

How do you bypass the teleaid module when the fiber optic loop is different from the other ones? What fiber optic loop do I need for the teleaid for a 2008 e350 Mercedes.

@@Ladyvirgo007 If it has fiber optic connector, it will. But you might be looking at a wrong part which does not have any fiber optic connector !!?

Very good presentation! I have a problem with the CD changer - sometimes it works well and then just stops and shows a message that says 'Error CDx" where x is 1 up t0 6. what can the problem be?

The CD changer mechanism needs to be replaced or repaired.

Great video I have a 07 R320 which radio freezes. I have sound but radio will not change station, can't change any function but does have volume volume control freezes as well. Any advise what to check? I have a code audio gateway D241 cd/dvd cant be ejected.

Sound like you have a bad command unit.

my gps does not work and cd changer does open, but all the sound works and will play music from the cds. i can listen to music for 30 minutes then it shuts off. where do you think the problem lies?

If the car had an amplifier, it would have been located in the trunk, driver side.
