How to Troubleshoot Faulty Automotive AC Compressor on Lexus IS300

We troubleshoot my AC compressor and system on the Lexus IS300 since it stopped cooling. We use a manifold gauge to see the R-134a refrigerant pressures at different operations to check whether its a bad compressor, low refrigerant, bad expansion valve, or a leak.

Lmk if you fix this. Same problem on my 03 is300. Changed compressor and issue is persistant. I’ve been told it could be the lock up sensor

@@emiliegervais1143 fixed. Unplugged battery a few hours (i guess to clear codes) then started up car (with ac relay removed) then plugged it back in a few seconds after. No more ac blinking so i started adding freon, i have cold ac now

Bad relay or failing magnetic clutch?

Did you measure the pressures? Short cycling could mean low refrigerant or compressor/clutch going bad.

@@TunerwithKids I haven’t done none of that I took it to mechanic shop they suggest that I get a kit new compressor and condenser and recharge the system
