Hello Mr. Terry Hill. Wow. It has been quite a few years now. Yes. Back about 20 years. This is J. 'SpiritWolf'. I was one of your students at the Airbrush Action 'Get-Away' in New Jersey around 1994. Although it has been many years? I still owe you a huge 'Thank You' for spending the extra time with me then. I was able to support my daughters as a single father at the time and becoming the father I wanted to be. We have done it and they are now 25 and 27. So now I am a grand-father. Again. '"Thank You'. It is great that you are using the internet to share your talent. Please accept my offering of blessings for health, happiness and success for you and to those you love. Many Blessings, J. 'SpiritWolf' Vega.

Being a novice, I was ready to give up on my "no paintflow" problem until I watched this video. I had healthy airflow, but couldn't get even thinner or water to flow. You did one little thing that made all the difference that I didn't try: moving the needle back and forth while depressing trigger. My needle/nozzle was clean, but it turns out I had the needle way too forward. The instructions say to insert needle until you encounter resistance; I guess my idea of "resistance" was a little more than was meant....thanks again!!!

I started airbrushing two months ago and Terry's amazing instructional DVDs were among the first ones I bought and work with. Also was checking on his vast amount of KZbin vids. And till 5 minutes ago I thought maybe I'd be lucky enough to meet him one day... What a terrible loss for the Art work. We already loss another giant, Mike Lavallee. Like anything on the internet it takes a lot of searching to find someone who actually knows what they are talking about but better yet enunciates it the way it really is rather than going off and blah blah blah - yaddie yaddie yaddie. Great video I subscribed because anyone who has that many air brushes knows what they are talking about. I am just getting into it, I bought an Iwata HP-CS and also a Ophir Compressor with a Tank and it came with a airbrush gun with three needles which I think will come in handy if I need to spray any large area projects. Thanks again for the wonderful and great info You are truly blessed with knowledge and thanks for sharing. Blessings Pastor Randy Bourque - The Evangelist

I like your setup. You really have 24 airbrushes with individual hoses? WOW! Are they all hooked up to work at the same time? That would be so cool not to have to worry about switching colors and cleaning in between all the time.
@afreemanreigns Жыл бұрын
Basically Terry got this idea from Scott Wilson, who worked in the area, and later on Terry worked for Scott in the first ever two story airbrush hut inside a Walmart store. I was around when Scott got the place in fact I helped him build some of it one night just handing out really late. I believe Scott is still there. Scott setup could fold up out of the way even, I believe he tried to patent it too but it was like 40k so he just patented the drawings, not sure?

Terry Hill was part of HOT AIR, a small biz in a clothing store in Fort Walton beach right on the main drag, Hot Air was Don Ashwood & Terry Hill. How do I know this b/c I was a local sign painter and used to visit them before airbrushing took off in the Florida Panhandle. We would throw ideas back and forth at one another as artist respectfully, it was then 1986 maybe not sure when they opened their place inside the T-shirt store in Fort Walton bch, but I lived there in town and operated my own sign biz, called Boyd's Signs. It was really cool to go in there and hang out, they would always want to know what I was painting on as they did not do the type of work I did and I wanted to learn some of their trade skills and vise versa so it was great for the art scene. Like when they painted large murals which they had never done but I had or when I painted a 1962 Harley with a side car called "Dead Sled" for David Curshank, I needed a few tips on airbrushing although most everything I did was by hand, mixing the lettering enamels to shoot from a airbrush was something I hadn't done so again we helped one another. Those were great times. And now here I am again still painting only this time it is my own cars. I have two 1968 Firebirds which I am working on each will have a unique theme and I will remember those times as I do my finest work.

A loose pilot bushing inside the airbrush is often the source of a skipping spray pattern. I think most most manufacturers today don't allow the user to adjust the pilot bushing...with the old school Paasche VL (and others) you could tighten the packing nut on the pilot bushing and stop the skipping.

Terry has been eating good, put on a few pounds. I suggest switching to Michelob Ultra, it tastes like beer, contains alcohol, less carbs, and it does a fine job of washing down that Aquaflow. Glad to see you are also hooked on the Iwata Eclipse, some folks think I'm crazy, paying eleven dollars for a nozzle. Now, I can say, Terry does, too, lmao~Rick in Gatlinburg
