seen a frickin LOT of airbrush cleaning videos, this is the first time ive ever seen anyone push the needle back thru square side forward to clean the body. From here, that looks like a damn solid tip, and is something im going to try when i next clean my cheapo neoeco that i use for priming. Thanks for the video, and you have earned a sub, mate.

WOW. I have seen many different KZbin videos on airbrush cleaning but I have never seen any of the other airbrush users use that particuler method of cleaning the inside of an airbrush by running the needle through the brush backwards and how well that method will work in helping clean the inside of the airbrush. Once again you have taught me some more very useful information. Thank You Sir.

Wow! Thanks to this video my cheapo airbrush is spraying like new again! I was having issues with it spraying very sporadic and turns out that there was the tiniest speck of dried paint in the main nozzle outlet. I was ready to throw it in the trash and buy a new one. Running the needle blunt end first was what did it. Thanks again!

I have to pull back on my trigger just a bit to much to get the paint to start flowing.I'm using illustration colors by Createx .Thinking I better try this must be very small amount of paint in nozzle . I'm using iwata micron cmc plus. Thought I had it clean hope this works. Thanks

Thank you for the feedback. I have still to learn stain v paint - my aspiration is to airbrush via stencils on bowls, platters etc that I have turned on my lathe. I have now understood that the adjustment I was seeking was merely the pressure the spring applied to the trigger; I was under the impression that the adjustment of the spring adjusted the spray - sorry to be so dim.

My airbrush is the portable type where the airbrush directly scews into the compressor I disassembled my previous airbrush to do a deep clean, reassembled it, only to find paint started to leak into the stem where the air goes in. I tried to take apart and assemble it again but the issue wasn't solved I bought a new airbrush. After a few rounds of painting which went fine, I disassembled it to do a clean, reassembled it and did a water test. And it now had the same leaking issue as the previous. AND I HAVE NO IDEA WHY!!!! 😭😭😭

I am strongly entertaining the idea of airbrushing.I swayed away from it for some time think I had to be an artist( able to draw) to airbrush. Guessing that's not completely true. I have been been watching your videos for a while and I like what I see so far. Keep sharing Please. Now for a question, Is it good idea to have a water trap at both the compressor unit and the spray gun or what? Thanks in advance
@ryanbarkley5437
@ryanbarkley5437 2 жыл бұрын
Hey bud. If you get a thankless compressor, definitely want a moisture filter. You probably want a compressor with a tank then won't need moisture filter on airbrush. The tank less compressors get lot of moisture. Probably best to avoid

AP, I only have a water trap at my gun. I am running a Fortress 2 gallon tank and I never get water. But if you have a tankless, I totally agree with Ryan, they run hot and produce a lot of moisture. I would avoid thankless compressors. I have a video on both the 1 gallon and 2 gallon Fortress.I use the 2 gallon in my shop. Can't beat It for the money. As far as needing to be an artist...it helps to have some artistic ability but not totally necessary. I transfer or trace my designs most of the time. As you learn techniques your artistic ability will increase as well. Hope this helps. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching

I like to use pipe cleaners when cleaning the interior of the air brush body, instead of running the needle in backwards; I'm afraid of damaging the Teflon seal at the rear of the cavity. Seems to work really well, and can be used over, rinsed and again until it comes out clean. Just my 2 cents worth!

Question brother.. my paint room is air conditioned around 72 degrees. My masters airbrush compressor with trap. I seem to get alot of moisture in my trap. Do I need to use a small moisture trap under my gun. And pointers will help. Thanks again brother
@TheAirbrushGarage
@TheAirbrushGarage 2 жыл бұрын
Jeff, I have a trap at everyone one of my brushes. Are you running a tankless compressor? If your compressor is running hot the air will still be hot after it passes the trap at the compressor and the hot air in the hose with the cool temperature in the room will create condensation so it is essential to have a trap at the brush. Hope this helps.

It will brother. I was using a regulator value under my airbrush. For air control. But I will change our to trap and just regulate at value on compressor. Yes tankless. I got a new 3 gal craftsman. If this don't fix it. I change over to it.. but I rather use the little masters . Will it help if I put a small fan blowing on the masters to help keep it cooler.
@TheAirbrushGarage

@@jeffbyrd2803 Jeff, I don't think the fan will help. I would use the tank. If it's to loud. I would consider the 1 or 2 gallon Fortress. I have video’s on both. Very reasonably priced.

Sorry to hear you are having problems. I spray at 27PSI. Start with 10 drops of reducer and 2 drops of paint. If that is going good then add a drop or two more of paint until you get to fifty fifty. Try that and let me know I hope this helps.

My airbrush got stashed for six months after I had not completely cleaned it, all I had done at the time was gurgling some cleaner through it. I pulled it out of storage finally, but the intake (siphon feed) was fully clogged with extremely dry paint. I'm been soaking it, and scrubbing what I could for days now, and I got all the paint I can see out. The air sprays fine, all individual components are clean, but there is no suction in the intake. I would deeply appreciate any help you can offer. thanks!
@TheAirbrushGarage
@TheAirbrushGarage Жыл бұрын
Eishaaya, check the air hole on your bottle cap. If it is clogged, this will cause paint not to flow (siphon). Run a pipe cleaner through the siphon tube and clean the needle nozzle with a needle reamer. Use reducer for a cleaning agent. Let me know if this helps.
@gfoog3911

@@TheAirbrushGarage first off, thanks for the response! I checked my bottle, and it was clogged. Unclogged the thing, but still no dice. As I mentioned, there's absolutely no suction in the intake, I put my finger there to feel for it previously, and felt nothing. Nozzle seems fine, I've run the needle through it quite a few times, and it has already soaked in cleaner for hours. I've been using iwata cleaner for all of my cleaning so far, is reducer/extender really superior to that? I have used extender to re-activate mostly dry paint mixes before, but I'd prefer to use cleaner for monetary reasons if it's not inferior.
