Only 3 minutes in and it's the most scrutiny anyone's given one of these things in a review. Really appreciate that. A lot of reviews of this thing feel too good to be true, so really getting in there and looking at why it only costs $40 is exactly what I wanted to know.

I bought the 98 and its been serving me well for the past week. Even with the default nozzle once I turn the valve lower it starts spraying a smaller line, which was a huge help with my free hand camo. The difference is visible on the armor parts I painted before and after the airbrush.

Thank you for sharing your experience with the GHAC-98 airbrush. We are delighted to hear that it has been serving you well and making a noticeable difference in your painting projects, especially with achieving a smaller line for freehand camo. Your feedback is greatly appreciated, and we are glad that our product has been helpful to you. If you have any more questions or need further assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out. Keep up the great work with your painting!

My Patriots last roughly about a year, before they break down. Patriots are $100-$120 a pop. This brush is $45 a pop. I use my Patriot to spray acrylic primer. Both have a 0.5mm needle. Seems like a better deal for me.

I just received a GHAD-39 and am very happy with it. I've used it to do camouflage on a 1/72 Hawker Hurricane and overall dark blue on a Grumman Hellcat, also 1/72. Both look great. The control for doing camo on such a small model was excellent. The weight in-hand was also a plus.

I purchased a GHAD-39 a few week back and have it say it was hands down the best move I have made. I've tried the Eclipse and even the AirCorba (which was my brush of choice) both of which can't hold a light to the 39. One hell of a detail brush for one hell of a price.

I picked one of these up a couple weeks ago for my s.o. right after getting myself a H&S Infinity. I'm jealous of the no nonsense greatness of this brush and the box it comes with blows the Infinity's out of the water. It has a beautiful breakdown diagram lovingly inset into the box lid. It comes with a test card... You can pull the needle through the front like the Infinity. I WISH this thing was around when I got started airbrushing; what a step up in quality and cost-effectiveness.

had mine for a couple months now and I'm really like it for my fishing Lure painting.. like the video says I can do all the fine detail work i need to do with brushing in the Lines, patterns and stencil work.. I've posted my work On FB & Instagram and my VERY generic KZbin page (dj's custom lures) only been painting about 4 months and not only are buddies impressed so are other experienced lure painters .... I'm surprising myself with the quality of the outcomes of what i've been able to create with the GHAD-39... I don't see spending $189-$200 on an Iwata HPC like alot of the lure painters do when I can produce PURT NEAR the same quality .... If someone was to give me a HIGH END brush ( even a higher end Gaahleri ) to compare and my outcomes greatly improved I'd purchase it and promote it as well ... like I do this one in all the fishing groups I'm in BTW great customer service too !!!

I've considered taking a look at these.. The delay and inconsistency pulling the trigger back is usually related to slight movements around the trigger rocker, it would be interesting to know if those will interchange with the eclipse style most every other chinese airbrush uses. I cant tell if they squared off the trigger stem or not, but thats one area most chinese brushes fail at, and leads to a slightly less stable trigger. IE that wider flatter surface on the creos 270/289 is one reason they have such excellent trigger feel and response. (badger puts some curve in their rocker to help with their round post and iwata / creos use a flat cut post to mate up to their rocker assemblies) The nozzle design of course remains to see if longevity is there. The 100.00 price point version is probably higher than I think most are comfortable taking a gamble on. I know for me the "cheap" sure ill try it out break point is much lower on chinese brushes. Where I have no problem paying well over 100.00 for a known quality airbrush.
@theartworkshop Жыл бұрын
I think you may be right and this is some good advice. Just checked it and you are 100% right, the trigger stem on this airbrush is much rounder than on the iwatas or creos models I own. Interesting to think about for sure. longevity is the key for sure. I guess only time will tell.
@TheAIRspace Жыл бұрын
@@theartworkshop Yes the roundish post just leads to more "wiggle" the non captured rocker is usually smoother by design but its really splitting hairs. The post i think makes the much larger degree. I haven't seen a squared off post on a chinese brush yet, I'm confident that small change in manufacturing would would make a huge difference in feel.. But again that's the sort of extra attention you pay for. The cheaper airbrushes have come a long way but still have those small issues that put them in an "also ran" category. I do have a few i really like however. Great work as always!

High respect to you sir. I have seen reviews by studio D claiming it is an honest review ( which could be by the way) and saying he hasn't been paid for the review, but hey he's a business partner and one of their Airbrushes carries his name. It was a good review however it will always be biased and if a manufacturer is sending any reviewer a free airbrush then the review would be biased most of the time. it is just the human nature. Excellent review as usual. Again Respect !!!

I appreciate that and think you made a very good point here, especially the human nature comment. My guess is a lot of youtube reviews are free products, which I think is completely fine. One thing I found with the 8 prong nozzle brush is you can’t crack the nozzle cap to back flush it. It will geyser out of the cup as soon as you press down the air. You can still back flush by physically blocking the nozzle but I found that interesting.
@theartworkshop Жыл бұрын
very interesting! I'll have to check that out.
@gaahleristudio Жыл бұрын
Our Advanced and Ace series airbrushes, being of the quick-detach structure, cannot be back flushed by loosening the nozzle cap as you mentioned. However, you can still back flush by physically blocking the nozzle, as you suggested. This is a significant difference compared to threaded structure airbrushes. We appreciate your feedback and suggestion. Thank you.

Despite the Italian sounding name these are Chinese airbrushes, but considerably more expensive than previous offerings. It seems to me Chinese airbrushes increased in popularity because they were cheap with reasonable performance and low cost spare parts. A really good Chinese airbrush can be had for $20, so are these expensive cousins worth the price hike? With prices rising to $100+ I would personally buy a USA made Badger every time.

@tatocorvette Жыл бұрын
Hello, I recently tested a cordless airbrush with the built in USB charging compressor/batt. I was pleasantly surprised. I have heard on some reviews that if used heavily it may warm up, causing moisture to be an issue. But I think of it as a great plan B for those "Darn it, I forgot this little part and I already cleaned up and put the big compressor away" moments.
@theartworkshop Жыл бұрын
thanks! No i haven't tried any of them yet since I don't have any need for them but i should pick one up to test out. I'm sure they are just fine if you need a light travel compressor but for a consistent spray, a tank (even a small one) connected to the compressor is very important. Makes a world of difference and it even helps with some of the moisture.

45 us$??? I don´t know, I wouldn´t buy it. It´s just another chinese generic airbrush that has been given some branding, only slighty better than no branded ones. For the money, I would go for used Iwata or Badger (cheaper replacement parts). For a new one, easy... Sparmax.
