The real drawback is that you can't save the values to a template! So each time you want to log, you have to spend 10min searching for the values again... really frustrating.

Yes!! Such an opportunity here for the app to be awesome. Very frustrating. Coupled with not being able to search makes it worse.

doesn't torque pro do a better job of this? Can it not be used on a VW?

Not a chance. I don't believe Torque Pro reads ODS that VW uses.

So if you don’t have a boost guage, to read via OBDEleven it’s named “charge air pressure”?

Yes the boost pressure is there on the can bus and can be read via can or ODB
