You are a LAGEND Man. Your MS45.0 definitions is the thing that got me into tuning my e60 myself. I was disappointed when I found out that it uses ms45 instead of ms43 I almost just took it to some cheap tuner guy for tune. But because of Your incredible work I get to learn it myself. THANK YOU

Great video!! I have a e46 with ms43 and trying to flash a tune on the dme. I’ve done it before years back but now I’m getting an error message on jm garage flasher it says ms43 connection error wrong echo bytes. What does that mean please help

@@dironizareyes596 usually wrong delay for the com port. But don't use jmgarage flasher for tuning. Use the ms4x.net flasher.

Weird question, Pazi88 but could you show the full process for doing an EWS delete on the MS45? Thank you for everything you do, I got a couple of DME boards for my m50 from you on my last project and I'm about to get a first start on my new project a turbo e83. You're a legend in the space!

It's easy. Just read the full bin and MPC from MS45. Then write those back and check the "Patch EWS" -box before flashing. And that's it.

Definion file siis kertoo säätöohjelmalle että mistä kartat ja parametrit löytyy kullekkin eculle. Ilman sitä noiden säätö on lähes mahdottomuus. Ja joo kyllä, juurikin noin.

And also I need to get the definition xdf files for the older chip ecu to use with a new piggyback Bluetooth chip that modernizes the chip style ecus. You now longer have to physically burn a chip with the emulator that cobrartp has come out with and I just want to understand one thing about these files. My question is if the definition was made to work with romraider can I use it in tunerproRT ? Because that’s what then cobra piggy back is made to work with and I was thinking of using ba114 file because that looks like exactly what I’ve been looking for ?

Unfortunately no. M5.2 is currently only of the few ECUs that don't have public ews delete available.

Those have oldschool eeprom inside. So you need eeprom programmer and that kind of stuff for it.

Hey, so I have tried using the definitions of @ba114 for the m5.2 dme, but it doesnt seem to work for my partial or full reads (.bin/image file of the ecu), neither does his btw. Any chance you could help me troubleshoot with it? Really the only thing I want to change is the rev limit.... Appreciate it man.

It could be that you have different software version than ba114 is supporting.

You need to copy the changes from old tune to the new version that has the launch control patch. And eu2/4 depends on your car.

Hey Pazi, In the past had problems reading ms41.1 with the old chipster tool (ms41.0 always worked) Do you may know if the new tool fixes this issue? If so I would invest in that tool

There is some bug fixes in ms41 quick flash compared to old chipster tool. But I don't remember what those were. But at least I didn't have problems using chipster tool with ms41.1.

If I have this tool BMW INPA / Ediabas OBD & ADS with COM port (not USB) will it fullflash the ecu? Not sure if there's ftdi chip inside

Not with those tools at least that I did show. Those rely on the ftdi chip on the dongle (that is USB-serial driver). The softwares don't use the simulated COM port, but the ftdi chip directly to communicate with the ECU.
