I have access to a powerband extruder and I've been experimenting with a multicolored one. Definitely don't have all the kinks worked out, but the results so far are promising

i raced 2 strokes when i was a kid, i built different expansion chambers for every track i raced on. built a couple dozen for my friends too. easy to adjust the power band to suit the needs.

My 2014 Husaberg FE501 came with the blue, and yellow powebands. When used together, I'm riding a wet fart that crashes allot! I'm hoping when I can afford a new KTM/Husqvarna 300tpi it'll come with the pink one.

My bike's powerband fell out the other day so it hasn't been running correctly. But I can tell you that it is a lot easier to ride without it. The bike does run without the powerband but there is a lot of hesitation, especially down low, but once it builds a head of steam its great. I am considering a mod to the aft ports so that I do not have to reinstall the powerband. Does anyone know how to do this?

The power band is literally just a range the power valve is opened at to allow more fuel and airflow

You forgot teal. My bike is teal and pink with a hint of blue and has had a teal power band fitted by Honda Sumo technicians. It has the ability to appear 20 feet in front of me when I touch the throttle but my butt is sat on the grass. Teal has given the bike a keen interest in botany, too, it's forever trying to shag trees and stick it's nose into bushy shrubbery.

Moooom, Barry's shitposting again! This does bring up the interesting question though - is it actually realistically tune-able? You've mentioned changing PV springs in the KTM in your MX to enduro conversion video, would always be interested to hear more.

Its absolutely tune-able. Shape of the head pipe will determine bottom-mid-high range and different reed valves will also play a part. You can even get 2 stage reeds for more consistent power delivery. But definitely agree..... Quality shitpost
