very clear . i recently had a brand new bike kept popping out the mid low gears , just cable tension ( after i had a shop look at it said theyd fixed it ,nope) sometimes the bike has to be tried in actual running

The way i set up a cable derailleur: Chain in highest gear, cable detached, high screw all the way in, adjust barrel screwed all the way in, then back off one full turn Pull cable taut and clamp cable, back off high screw til upper jockey wheels aligns with smallest cog, this should give good cable tension for the first shift Attempt shift, first few should be clean, back out barrel adjust quarter turn at a time til it reaches biggest cog/lowest gear, stop shifting Align low limit screw so upper jockey wheel is in line with biggest cog, adjust b-tension gap to manufacturers recommendations
