Mannnn if you finish this series this is going to be an invaluable m54 turbo resource forever. Cleanest and most well thought out diy ive seen for this kinda thing

@@hellrotgarage You are a garage builder and non professional, as you sad (this drop with Cory was goood :D ) but what most immportant attitude - you have very proper thought process to build cars without "dumbass" solutons which are strikeing back during tuning or further use. I've turboed my M43 just for fun, but the think, that this engine costs 100$ doesn't mean that I can build garbage turbo kit. And it runs - I haven't touched any bolt during 1 year of drift events. I'm watching whole series and can't wait to see the final movie with results!

im real glad your making these, these by no means are the easiest cars to turbo, especially while keeping it functional with A/C. Everyone loves to be gatekeepers with what they did with their build. great to see someone showing off their hard work so generously

Thank you for taking the time to make these videos. I just bought a turbo kit from Cory Misko and these videos could not have been uploaded at a better time. In depth tutorial with part links has been a great help!

If you heat up banjo crush washers with a propane torch , just till they glow red ... Once they cool off they are re-anneled. You can reuse them after that. (usually works a few times before your washer is too beat up. ) when they annel they expand and get soft again.

Would love to see a link to the coolant parts you got. Particularly the banjo fitting you got for the block and the adapter you got for the lower hose

Updated description sorry. Some of the other videos had the links. Not sure why I never added them to this one.

For the turbo, what exact options did you choose for the compressor housing and turbine housing?

So the lower radiator hose (cold side) goes into the turbo, and then the coolant gets returned into the block? or is it the other way around?
@andyshuparski35322 жыл бұрын
The link to the turbo brings up a 3582r pulsar turbo with 0.72 compressor housing a/r. I think in the first video of this build you stated you were using a 3576, and your compressor housing here says 0.60 a/r. Can I still run the turbo that pops up on the link with this setup on a 3 liter m54, or is it completely different??

Had you considered just welding a V-band straight onto the exhaust housing for the wategate? Is the 90 really necessary?

What’s ur reason for n putting the waste gate on the turbo do you have to do that using be racing parts
@hellrotgarage2 жыл бұрын
You can use a pipe that comes down from the flange on the turbo manifold but there isn’t a lot of room down there.
