Thanks! Well SPOILER ALERT! It's already fixed and the car is running again. The head wasn't showing much damage, but we bought new one and it was refurbished before installation to the engine.

Here's a tip for the brake fluid jar: i used to drill the cap with a screwdriver, and those type of pvc pipes will fit in watertight. :) Screw the cap back on, and no more spilling fluids. Sorry about the end tho...

No. It was some assembly error, because the bolts were loose.

All timing related parts at BMW cost €844. So even if Febi was €100, why risk an engine for €744

Very nice video's you have, helps me out! I wonder what oil u drive, i drove with 10W60 castrol, but you can hear the lifters a lot, speccially cold start.. what oil do you recommend?

Thanks a lot! Normal synthetic 5w-40 or 10w-40 if you don't live in cold environment is perfectly fine. And it's bonus if the oil has bmw long life rating for example. It tells that the oil should be good quality.

Mitä kuuluu sun e39 520 talvikäyttikselle? Tuli hankittua bemariin sopiva obd piuha, ja nyt olis m52b28 suuttimet kaupan, eli muistaakseni samat kuin mitä sulla siinä etanolikonversiossa. Jälkeenpäin ajateltuna oliko re85:iin siirtyminen kannattavaa vaparikäytössä? Pystyisitkö laittamaan sen sun softan jakoon, niin sais vähän osviittaa siihen mitä noiden sytytysennakkojen yms tulis olla? Suuttimien skaalaus varmaan onnistuis iteltäkin.

Why mix mtech 1 with mtech 2

To annoy purists :D In reality, the rear corner of the left door and frame is pushed in about 1cm so mtech1 side skirts didn't fit nicely. But mtech 2 pieces hide the problem area really well.

Anssi Järvinen Tekki 1 etupuskuri on orggis, et se kyllä istuu. Kuitu takapuskurikin meni senkun ruuvas kiinni. Mut nuo tekki2 helmat vaati aika paljon sovitusta ja värkkäämistä. Ebaystä hommatut on joo kuituosat.

Juu kyllä. Takajarruille menevä jarruputki kulkee hydraulikäppärin sylinterin läpi. Normijarrut ja hydraulikäppäri pelaa samoilla satuloilla.

Yes that is basically Helmholtz Resonator. But it's quite tricky to get it tuned correctly so that it really works. So I just don't bother.
