I love this mission! Because of your content on Instagram and KZbin, I got back into gardening. It brightens my days to have something beautiful and nourishing to focus on. I'm with you on this mission. I'm trying to get a couple seasons of gardening under my belt as I'm saving up for the Garden Consultant program. Thank you for sparking something in me that has given me a little slice of peace and a deeper knowing of myself.

Great video! The Terra-cotta olla pot must be un-glazed to function. As you said …it’s permeable. But The outer pot and plate can be glazed and a glazed plate is especially smart if you’re keeping this system indoors. If one can’t find an olla they are easy to hack with 2 regular unglazed terracotta pots. (But Be mindful of the glue you select for your olla hack …No one needs to ingest silicon seeping into your herbs right?)

Do you need to Pre moisten the soil? Would you use rooting hormone? What kind of soil? 🌱
@Gardenary
@Gardenary 3 күн бұрын
Yes on pre-moistening the soil. You can use rooting hormone or even cinnamon (to prevent mildew). For soil, you could do topsoil, potting soil, or coarse sand. I probably wouldn't do sand with the oya though. If you do sand, you'll transplant to soil once the roots are formed.

What size terra cot pot are you using for the container?
@Gardenary
@Gardenary 3 күн бұрын
I think this is an 18-inch pot. You can do something much smaller (just check the moisture level more)
