How to turn a graphic into a big stencil

This is a stencil for a 6 metre labyrinth, printed on ordinary A4 photocopy paper from a pdf of a black and white graphic. The pdf printing interface is very good... us Poster print, scale by percentage to suit (a bit of trial and error there, though it does tell you the size of the finished tiled printout). my graphic was a4, scaled up 2000 percent. it told me it would use 262 a4 sheets.. including blanks surrounding the graphic. I printed it on my little Brother laser, using toner save mode. also saves toner to turn the graphic layer density down to around 33 percent so it's light grey.
Check the Cut marks option in print menu, and sheets Portrait. then guillotine the printed stack on the left long edge and the bottom short edge. this leaves an overlap to glue with a bead of pva glue lining up the sheets with the cut marks.. ample bead of glue gives some slide time ..adjustment to the cut marks.
I glued the rows together left to right, then the resulting strips I glued to each other downwards.
cutting out was very quick with a sharp boxcutter.
The circle of feltlike extra thick weedmatting I also cut with boxcutter.
stencil can be used with spray and enamel or thinned acrylic sprayed on with an air spray gun.

Thanks... it gave me energy when I simplified fir the new year... no retail shop instead a magic mind lounge for talks, and clearing the gallery space for tge labyrinth and other events...

@@wizardofeutopia Human nature is hard to figure. I have a retail store and consider myself a merchant. I do my best to not only serve but delight my customers. I have a thing for ‘visual merchandising’, not as a manipulation but as a way to set an anxious customer at ease to be able to address his needs. A feeling of ok relax, your are here, now take your time and express your concerns in an atmosphere of friendly, informed people who are interested in your best interest. It’s funny, I purposefully took valuable retail square footage and transformed it into areas of inspiration and relaxation only to find that a majority of patrons are stuck in a mode of entitlement of service, the type that has produced self checkout, and they have blinders on and are so focused on their task at hand that they would have a hard time being conscious in the moment. Transactional relationship is the norm and encouraged in our society. I put in several chairs only to watch people crowd in front of the check out counter without interacting with fellow patrons. But, at least a few times a day… someone will pull up a chair, soak in the environment and become vulnerable just long enough to where creative juices freely flow between us long enough to fully address and solve challenges and I feel that I am serving my purpose for which I was created!
