Yes I use them a lot...all our new shelves, I wood grain the library shelves and shellac them. And storage shelves and the partitions and inside walls. A garden shed too, clad with old corrogated iron...

Fascinating account, thanks for sharing. So the sound came out of the folded and glued shape...was it quite loud? Yes bevelled edges would be nice - though I'm planning to plaster the dodecahedron probably. That will make it waterproof for outdoors. If for indoors I'd go for plywood and bevel the edges...

@@wizardofeutopia in my recent videos it is titled "necessity is the mother of all invention". I always confuse the star tetrahedron and dodecahedron. Like my Hex-O-Pod I'm not sure what to call the shape. I just know I weave a spider that can support my weight from a center point in between the gap of the top of the frame. That's a lot of ideas, much of which is suggestive of cool things though not clear to me.. your 24 ft guitar sounds amazing... I'll run it by my son @therobba and my friend Charles who stays at dreamspace.. they have a small soundproof room here and a music room... I'll try and make a video of them making some sounds...

No lead in pewter for drinking at least, it's a common misconception that all pewter has lead. Even in middle ages they knew and guilds controlled the different alloys and prohibited lead in drinking and eating vessels.

Very similar to my mix... I use amorphous silica brand name microsilica.

Hi..it's a thin shell of strong mortar - cement plaster - trowelled into various thicknesses of steel bar and or mesh usually with several layers of fine half inch -13mm- chicken wire tightly laced together with thin wire. The plaster is often smoothed over with a second coat but the steel remains close to the surface so there's a lot of fine reinforcement throughout the shell. It's Sunday and that's a rough description only!

Thanks! It's a battle of thoughts to a huge degree... I'm an optimist so I keep trying ideas out .. and an optimiser not a perfectionist so I keep improving things rather than giving up when it's not perfect... I'm noticing a development process is always fractal - you have several parts to a big solution, you solve them and think it's done but then as you work to 'perfect' your solution each of those parts turns up second level problems which can look just as large as the original problem... So you can give up unless you are prepared for this phenomenon and get down to each new problem with a beginners mind again... Always new insights and ideas are needed, at every level of improvement... I'm in the middle of that now!
