I don't know if you still monitor this video but I hope so. Question: Is there a way that I can resize the initial canvas so I don't have to try to scale up or down a new image? In other words, I was using a 6000x6000 px image but the one I tried to replace the original with was 3000x6000. When I upscaled it the borders where completely shot. I'm relatively new to this so any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.

When I double click and choose a different image at the end, it only changes the smart object layer I double clicked and not the rest of the layers . What am I doing wrong?

You've made unlinked smart objects. You can relink them again by saving the smart object itself as .PSB file then right-click every smart object in the main document and choose "Relink to File" and choose that .PSB file to connect all smart objects to it. Once you update that .PSB file, all smart objects will be updated.

Um coming from a true sketch artist this is in no way comparable to a genuine sketch. Very stale and digital and has no real shading or energy. If you want to sketch for real, learn how and the best way is to use the grid method for complete accuracy. Real pencil sketch does not look like that.

way TOO FAST...and anyway a lot of what you did wouldn't work, including renaming the layer...none of what I did looked anything like what you were getting....I tried 3 different photos and yet I couldn't keep up and didn't get anywhere NEAR the results you were getting...I give up with these KZbin tutorials....

Sorry to hear that, Couldn't understand what do you mean about renaming the layer? this is not even necessary, name your layers as you like! @@Pixivu I clicked on it exactly as you did when you renamed it...it wouldn't do it so already, you say, name the layers as you like...I clicked on it just as you did...I watched you do it 3 or 4 time but it wouldnt let me name the layer like you did............I worked on my picture and kept stopping the video to make sure I was doing everything as you did....I couldn't name the layer at all it just wouldn't let me.. and bringing the picture in, you explained nothing about the size of the picture and why yours was the size you chose, then its just click on this, do that....I got nothing like the results you were getting during your workflow and others have said the same if you read the comments...all way too fast with no explanation as though we all know it anyway..so typical of these tutorials...I give up with it...i unsubscribe...please remember i future, SLOW DOWN AND SAY WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND WHY.!!!!!!....a tutorial is usually followed by a person who does not already have the skills, please remember that, but none of you ever do...you just plough through it like we already know it...!!!!!

​@@gregwoolliscroft6255 Hello Greg, If you are familiar with photoshop, you should know that to rename a layer, you just need to click on the layer's name twice, and also there is no difference if you left your layers with their default names (the tutorial will still do its job). regarding the image size, you are working with filters and by increasing/decreasing the image size, in most cases you will need to change the filters & adjustment layers values (that's why I recommend using a particular image size in my all tutorials). You can see from the comments that the tutorial is working with most of the viewers. Regarding the speed of the tutorial, If I explain every little detail in the tutorial, I will take double or triple the tutorial time. and this will decrease the audience retention of the video and as a result, the tutorial will not get any new views, you can just slow down the video to x0.5 from the gear icon. Sorry if my tutorial is not working with you, I've told you that I can send you the PSD file on the mail so that you can compare it with your PSD file but you ignored that! God bless you!
