How To Turn a Warrant Into Multiple Felony Charges

Officers report:
On October 25, 2023, at approximately 1638, I was at the Walgreens located at 10236 Coors Bypass NW when I recognized (Sean Hamm). I advised Sergeant C. Poccia to check Sean Hamm on the police database and returned with a felony warrant for his arrest Sergeant C. Poccia and I approached the male who had a golf club at that time. Sergeant Poccia and I contacted Sean on the north side of the Walmart parking lot. Officers identified themselves and told Sean that get into the ground that he was not free to leave. Sean looked to his left side and decided to run from the officers. Sean fled from officers eastbound on Ellison and cut through the business's parking lot. Another officer advised that he located Sean behind the Applebee's at the NM 528. When I arrived at the Applebee's parking lot, I saw Sean Walking at the Circle K located at the NM 528 and Ellison. I told him to stop, but Sean ran again and ignored my command. Sean ran northbound from the Circle K crossing Ellison; several vehicles had to stop and almost hit Sean while he was running from officers. I advised over the air that Sean was running northbound at the Barnes and Noble parking lot. I crossed Ellison and saw Sean running westbound again through the parking lot in front of the old Toy's R Us. Officers cut Sean off on the Northwest corner of the Ross, located just west of Barnes and Noble. During the foot pursuit, an on-site security vehicle also traveled westbound through the parking lot. Sean ran into the rear right of this vehicle during the foot pursuit. Officer Kyle Smith, who was involved in the foot pursuit, was able to catch up close to Sean. Sean directed his visual focus toward Officer K. Smith. Sean was about 3 to 4 arm lengths away from Officer K. Smith. Sean swung the golf club toward Officer K. Smith, who was in close enough proximity that an immediate battery could have been affected against Officer K. Smith. Force was used to take Sean into custody. After the incident, Rescue was requested at the scene to check on Sean's injuries, and he was transported to the hospital by ambulance. Sean was later transported and booked at PTC without further incident.

Or do what we do in Australia and have them appointed on merit. No politics involved, no elections. We have a Director of Public Prosecutions for each state and territory. Smaller charges are approved by a Sergeant or above but still must go to the District office for checking by an Inspector. Police sergeants cannot make deals. You have these DA’s who are elected and that is so open to corruption, just like your Judges. Your Supreme Court is a joke, so biased that they cannot be relied on to uphold the law anymore. Our Judges are also appointed on merit, no one has any idea what political party they follow. I worked for the Federal Court of Australia and politics was never discussed and if it was found that they had been appointed for a political reason it would be an absolute scandal here. I’m sorry, but your system is screwed. The UK is the same as Australia so there is no bias.

I think all the jails are overcrowded and that’s why they keep letting people go, and on top of over crowded jails someone high in authority must be also saying it cost taxes payers to my much money to take care of all the inmates so you know what let’s try not to incarcerate to many people, well that’s my thought on this, especially here in New York where crime is crazy and people are let go just to commit the same or worse crimes. As far as the man running in foot, that was just dumb, as you just saw, remember there is always back up officers, and let’s not forget if they call for a helicopter ?
