@@dummkompf First, it doesn't matter if it was his brothers warrant or not. Second, this was not a false arrest. He was being detained while the police determine whether or not he has the warrant. Third, it is NEVER legal to evade the police when being detained. Last, what he did is attempted car jacking and possibly attempted kidnapping. He tried to enter an occupied a vehicle without permission of the owner and against their will. A person does not have to drive or remove the occupant from the vehicle in order to be charged with carjacking.

And this is exactly why I don't understand how physically unfit people become cops. I get that some started their career in good shape and over the years became unfit, but I always thought cops had to stay fit as long as they wore a badge, like it was in a requirement in their contract. Guess I was wrong. Also, I understand that many PDs have a hard time getting people, so they hire basically anyone as long as they don't have a record and are mentally stable. But fitness is such an important factor. It's a shame really.

The prosecutors need to explain in detail why some, if not most, cases they dismiss. The public is losing confidence in the justice system, starting with the DA's office. The lack of accountability has political consequences.
@mudchair16
@mudchair16 Жыл бұрын
There are only two reasons. 1) The number of women working in the criminal justice system has exploded over the past few decades; their maternal instincts becoming pathological when applied to matters of crime and punishment. (2) Effeminate men in the criminal justice system also suffer from a girlish mindset; however, since the powers that be (liberal extremists who want disorder)) are always watching, they also fear losing their jobs if they deliver appropriate punishments.

My guess would be that Romero probably injured himself in that fall from the pickup. Even if "all" he did was give himself a massive case of road rash, that can land a person for weeks or months on a burn unit (once you scrape off the char, necrotic tissue or embedded dirt, an open skin wound is an open skin wound and goes to a burn unit for treatment). When I spent 5+ months on the burn unit back in 2005, there was a college age girl who'd fallen off the back of her boyfriend's motorcycle wearing only sandals, cutoffs and a halter top--she was on the unit when I arrived and she was still there when I got to go home, no end in sight for her. If I'm right in guessing that Romero injured himself, the APD probably figured informally that he'd self-punished.

Gee if people aren't given consequences to their actions, good or bad (but mostly for bad behavior) then they will continue to do those things over and over again. It is mind boggling how after everything he did, that the prosecutor, AGAIN, would choose to not prosecute him. And because he wasn't held accountable, the next time, he will do it again and quite possibly with a worse outcomes for everyone involved.. Smh absolutely pathetic...

I caught him, but rather than arresting him, took him back to the base and had a word with the CO to make sure everyone knew a police officer in full kit had outrun and caught the guy. A suitable punishment 😂 Great work in the video. Epic stamina from the cop, and the community coming to help. Shame about the case being dropped.
