Do you have to use this scanner I tried other scanners and it said it can’t communicate with module and the way it was set was I changed my window regulator and turn the car on to attach my regulator while it was unplugged

BMW E46 3-Series: To get through an MOT with a red airbag light, I put the key in position 2, and removed Fuse 10. No rear parking sensors, but she passed the MOT. After the MOT, I put the key in position 2, and replaced Fuse 10.
