And, as soon as you hit the OK button (at any time in the future), it re-activates that darn pointer. I even emailed LG about this and they just couldn't understand how much we detest that darn pointer. It's like I was calling their baby ugly or something.

I do what you said but my pointer only works when wifi is connected, been told you don't need wifi on for it to work but mine won't, I have 2019 lg smart tv

I unplugged it and held the power button down for 30 seconds and was amazed when I turned it on, and it immediately worked.
