Hiya! I am new to doing Blender, but I have previously commissioned someone and they were able to make the Fur in the Ears be attached, so when making the ears flop down, the fur moves with it, how do I go about doing this myself?

I’m not 100% sure since I don’t make models without tools like VRoid. I would assume that you would do it in a similar way to this, though.

@@okawaffles Thank you for the quick reply! Didn't think this was still active! I mostly made my Model in VRoid and I wanted Expression based ears, which was successful from Commissioning, however they are no longer available so I am trying to learn it myself for experience! I am sooo close but I just now have the issue where the Fur in the Ears do not move with the ears, they would clip through, which makes it tough. But thank you again for the quick reply!

@@BirthdayCake1998 3 Months later and sadly I haven't been able to figure it out yet.. I am trying my best every now and then to try figuring this out, its possible too since I've commissioned someone once but I wish they could teach me.

@@lawrenceindasky the remaining fur might not be connected to the bones via weight paint.

when i try to export the vrm model, i get the error "'Object' object has no attribute 'pose_library'" do you know what is causing this problem?

I'm really excited to try this out. There aren't many video on this. My one question is when you say make your ears all of hair piece. Could you explain how or what that means?

Hi, apologies for late response, I have just seen this comment. When exporting from VRoid Studio, I believe you are given options to join meshes. Please make sure that you choose to join the meshes. This might not be applicable to the latest VRoid Studio version. I have not used the software in a long time.

Edit your "blink" blendshapes to include the ear movement in Unity.

what happens between 3:26 and 3:27 in the video? your menu changes and you dont say how you go from one instance to the other. you must've pressed a button but you never say what you pressed and im left stuck at 3:26

Switched from Pose mode to Object mode. There's a drop-down in the top-left corner of the screen, but the TAB hotkey or Shift+TAB should let you switch between modes without using the drop-down

I know this is an older video, so I apologize for asking this but I am having one issue: Can you only add one shape key to a bone? I want to add an ear down and and ear up, but once I add an ear down shape key, I cannot seem to add an ear up one. The bones will move, but the ears themselves will not move at all. Thank you for any help you can provide!

You should be able to add multiple but I'm not 100% sure. Unity will tell which has priority control over the bone.

@@okawaffles Thank you so much for the reply! I ended up getting it to work, but in a slightly weird way? I had to save it as a .vrm with only the one shape (ears down) and then bring it back in to also add an ears up expression. It worked perfectly fine, though which I am relieved about! This tutorial was made really well! I do have another question, which if you're unsure how then no worries! I've seen people who connect their ear movement to their eyebrow movement, but I am unsure how to do that. They've mentioned it's a part of the eye movement blendshapes, but after looking at those blendshapes I'm not sure how the eyebrows connect to those at all. If you also aren't sure, then please don't stress about it! Either way I really appreciate finding this tutorial and your speedy reply! The ears moving with expressions really adds a lot!

I successfully did one shape key for the ears to go up, but can't edit the bones in pose mode after I already created the shape keys for them to make another

Late comment but I tried this with a Vroid model in unity, but I only have the face drop down, not the body

Hi, apologies for late response, I have just seen this comment. If the blendshapes do not show up, you have not saved the blendshapes and/or exported the model correctly. Please re-follow the steps carefully and ensure you have the correct versions of the software used.
