@Ahmad Halis There's Truth in what is temporary. There is an intelligence/essence of consciousness in the world around us. These Truths precede and succeed us; While we are alive, we get the opportunity to interact with the Truth/Natural Laws/etc thus creating a subjective 'interpretation' of the Truth which colors meaning for the individual. @@glynemartin you have a point. Kierkegaard's advice helps with subtle (emotional/mental) forms of suffering but can do little to alleviate gross (physical) forms of suffering. And even when you consider only subtle forms of suffering, there is a distinction, as you point out, between "real" suffering and "imagined" suffering. I would define "imagined" subtle suffering as that emotional/mental suffering which has its roots in faulty perception or thinking, and this can be alleviated by changing your perception or thinking. "Real" subtle suffering is the emotional/mental suffering that results from actual physical suffering, and this is not alleviated by a change in perspective. This type of suffering requires physical intervention to alleviate. And, it's a grim reality, but in many cases "real" suffering (gross or subtle) cannot be alleviated at all.

A technique that I recently discovered that works for me is one I like to call "non-reaction". There might be another name for it but basically what you do is simply dont react to whatever is plaguing you and remain calm and have no judgement towards the feeling, thought or circumstance that you label as "bad" or that bother you. Dont label them as good either just remain neutral and calm. its important to implement this before you are consumed by whatever it is thats bothering you. Its easier said than done but its helped me tons and brings me peace. Hope this helps.

This reminds me of the basic course of meditation that's free on headspace. "let thoughts come and go, sit back as if you see thoughts going past as cars on an highway. It's like observing, noticing and stepping out of the self harming process of indulging in bad thoughts. I use meditation and mindfulness to train me to notice my thoughts and notice what my mind indulges in. It helps a lot.
@hoodhippie34045 жыл бұрын
@@robertsamuel1994 Yeah they're pretty similar. From my experience the benefits are the same its kinda like meditation but without actually meditating if that makes any sense. Lol its pretty hard to explain. I guess its like meditating with your eyes open and without being still. But other than that the process is the exact same as you stated above. I mainly use it when anxiety, depression and negative thoughts start creeping up on me and the benefits are somewhat instant and very noticeable. I notice that I react to things that used to make me sad, angry, anxious very differently and instead those feelings are replaced by peace and I no longer think of those things as "bad" and therefore dont bother me anymore. Overall im just a happier person and find myself loving and saying nice things about myself almost automatically. Which is new for me. It literally works wonders.

The human condition is insanely rich in detail, and is therefore a generalized insanity. It is tragedy and comedy, but these words are merely conventions of understanding. Understanding is a part of experience, but not the whole of it. There are so many sensations and feelings which we overlook because we are stuck in thought. I like the term ‘dance’ better in characterizing life, for in order to keep on, one must dance with life’s changing tides, both internal and external (which are also manmade words...) One can argue all day about whether life is tragedy or comedy but they are just words. However, to laugh a bold laugh is to transcend the feeling of victimhood in times of doubt. It is a heroic act, for it says “I can see my struggle from outside of myself, and all in all it is hysterical. I wouldn’t have it any other way.” While the victim complains ad infinitum without recognizing that it is all an act, and if he could come to his senses he would find that to be a human and aware of it is in itself worth laughing about. Our downfall is in trying to outwit life unceasingly, when in truth we should see to it that we remember our childhood stupidity. Recover spontaneity by NOT TRYING to recover it. Do what you are called to do, don’t get hung up on making a life mission of it. Just find something with which you can be creative, play with it for it’s OWN sake, and you’ll find that you can dance with life better, and maybe laugh a little more, too.

You are a great teacher of philosophy! I really appreciate your work! Thank you!!! 🐝🌍💋 I will soon need to express myself upon a complex matter. As to what is to die in dignity. To live in dignity already is quite confusing to oneself toward himself... Except 1948 document. So, I'm pleading for your support. I mean to die in dignity...Not to live in dignity. Don't interrupt yourself for nobody, your product is way to valuable to be abandonned. Philo is a key of possible Communion between adverse interests ppl. Thank you!

So happy to see and read about the many people starting to realise their power, dedicating themselves to a life of growth and progress whether its through spirituality or psychology. We have enough people suffering perpetual victimhood.

No reason for 'self-pity,' for we have created each and every one of our life's circumstances, i.e., through our thoughts, actions, and inactions. "Luck" (good or bad) does not exist. "A world of our own creation."

Here's one I came up with myself. People want to focus on where we are now and the physical but forget about greater questions such as what we were and where we'll be heading, I want my memory back.

Thank you. On a human level this message resonates with my logical mind. On a spiritual level, it is missing the Love that is necessary for me to connect with completely. My gratitude to you for your time and work. With Unconditional Love ❤️ Namaste 🙏 Thank you for the recognition. God bless you 🙏

Kybalion: #1 Mentalism- All is Mind; The Principle of Mentalism embodies the idea that "All is Mind." Everything that happens has to be a result of a mental state which precedes it. For anything to exist, thoughts had to form first, which then form physical reality or manifestation. "Your thoughts are seeds, plant positive seeds in your mind garden." #6 Cause & Effect- Every cause has its effect. Every effect has its cause, everything happens according to Law. It explains that there is a cause for every effect, and an effect for every cause. It also states that there is no such thing as chance, that chance is merely a term indicating extant causes not recognized or perceived.

O'SSÉIN - Master Your Mind With Me It seems quite unrealistic. But let’s do our part. Recommend the books and mention the talking points while avoiding making it about ourselves.

What exactly do you mean by "being awakened"? Do you mean to be aware of ones own psyche, or to be aware of ones surroundings, or to be aware of our collective history etc etc? Would you consider yourself to be a "woke" person?
