@@cjheelan5531 I think they are comfortable, and gives a bit of ankle support. Perfect for cruising, and I have a pair of moxi lollys to compare them to. Probably not the best for skate parks

years ago I put skateboard trucks on my skates. Great for straight and downhill, BUT, they are wide!! You will have lots of trouble trying to skate, as the wheels will hit those other foot wheel all the time. Just be aware if going for the wider ones.

Hello, I bought a pair that have orange wheels which are really wide apart UNLIKE the LIME wheels!! Is there any way to bring the wheels closer to the shoe? Or should I return them for the lime pair

Hi, the one with orange wheels is the DLX model, the trucks are so wide! the only option is to replace the trucks for a shorter 10º truck like the Penny 3", but yes maybe easier to return them and get the lime wheels model SLV with narrow truck... I hope it helps!

Ohhhh I hate this toe stop!!! I did not heed your advice.. i want to put jam plugs in but can this toe stop be removed at all?? How do you take it off !?

Yes this stopper is not so good.. but it can be removed easily, it's attached by a simple screw. I am not sure if there is any jam plug with that thread size but if you can't find any maybe use a screw cap or a plastic piece to protect the screw head and you are good to go. Or just skate without stopper or plug, that's what I've been doing...

@@RAGNAROLL THANK you for your reply... One of the top stoppers I got out with an Allen key and a lot of elbow grease. The OTHER however... is still very stuck. I haven't skated on these a ton so I think it was just assembled weird. It is just so very jammed in there. I actually was able to cut through the rubber part with a kitchen knife (not safe).. using wrenches and just my own strength I was able to unthread it a tiny bit. The sucker just will not come off. I will have to take it to either a hardware store to see if they have any suggestions or a skate shop for further help. Thank you for your reply. For anyone reading this product review - - just know if you eventually WANT to switch out the toe stops it may be tricky.. get the correct size Allen key/ hex wrench...

@@annepetro Oh noo that sounds awful! I hate when stuff like this happens, if there is any skateshop nearby try to go there and they might help you, otherwise a hardware store might be the best options, ultimately they can just drill the screw to take it out if it's jammed.

I'm going to try this with adidas samba for more ankle support, as a newish skater would you recommend doing this or is this only for an advance skaters? The sneakers Kate site isn't available anymore? Did they go out of business?

These are good for beginners too, but seems the sneekrskate are out of stock everywhere. You can cut an aluminum insole inside the shoes and fix any other roller skate plate.

sure! but you will need to add something inside the shoes, usually people use an aluminum insersole to attach the plates, othewise the shoes will brake

You weren't joking. They weigh more than 1,100 grams! And the skateboard trucks weigh more than 1,300 grams. That's crazy. Sure-Grip Avanti Aluminums weigh 575 grams and they're considered heavy. Pilot Falcons weigh 428 grams.

yes you can build roller skates with Doc Martens boots, with this plate or any other build by adding an aluminum insole inside to fix the screws, but If seen this setup before. Probably not very comfortable but looks awesome! let me know if you try :D

Hun skating in the wet is just plain out dangerous but all skated can be in doors and out door skates Comes down to the derimitor of your wheels. Out doors on roads the softer the better and park and rink skating the higher the hardness makes you turn on a dime but i would not recomend 101a ( bones bowl bombers wheels) as your first wheels but, it will rattle the fillings out of you teeth on rough concreat to roads but on a smooth surface for skeating 99a, 101a and 104a are like skating on glass, id work on getting you fundamentals down befor you go a harder derimitor wheel. .... BTW if you go to the Powell paretta green dragons . 93a drt. I like about a 56 mm wheel and i have bigger ones too as tye bigger the wheels its harder to get staterd but once going they fly and mine are gummies so they fly and are bulldozers Im hanging to get some for my quads as i have them on my board, yes skate board wheels can be used on skates . Other than my derby skates that are a 87a dr as their for stability , no speed so their quite wide too but the all skate borad wheels on all my skates . and this guy did not show 1 key factor you should have if you plan to hit the ramps skating transitions. He did not put in a inner mounting plate. . What are you wanting to skate?

If they are a 5% or 10% their made for stability .whack some soffer and wider wheels like the poision or the jix wheel , ive had the jix wheels from a aussie brand celled crazy skates , some rat still them . There about $80 for a set of 8 abd the poision is not much in price. If you have cash to splash but want logerly over price , find Cory skates and he hand pours the wheels and when they are wearing out , his outters are on a hub so you can just buy a new set of tyers.. set you back about $200 but remember you getting 8 hand made wheels . Ive been skating a 25% king pin angel with hard wheels and a leather sports cut boot thats more like a shoe. I know who has maked down like $600 sports cut boots to like $200 and less. All leather with the fiberglass head mouding tech and heel locking tech too . Its a matters , do you want them to be good skates of clapped out runners in no time flat. And if your going to put in about a 3cm heal wedge. Healps with stability too . Changes your bodies posture , less fall because of the skates as flat skates ,nealer skates, falling backwards happens a lot more . Be safe

You get a 20% 25% & upwards its all about aglity, nothing about stability, tye stablity has to be all you.. Oh and dont trust a content producer to tell you about anything they are not selling. Hence the qick test about the inner plates and nothing about toe or heel wedges. We going know if they are aircraft quality alloy plates drop foughed trucks , you can put penny truck on yourself if you like the wide trucks. Its not rocket, you can put just normal plates on your veans but you will need a inner plate. This is a chiaer pro mo , nothing infomational. Really ! Im not paid in any way to be saying all this so your welcome to ask me anything with no brand biouse other than i hate moxie ... their over priced and start dieing after 12 months but thats when the rekease the same skate in a" ALL NEW COLOUR" And impala have not got a good track record. Their made for kids but come in adult sizes , they are entry level skates at the low end.

Do you mean roller skate boots with a heel raise or Heel shoes? roller skates boots is ok, just need to drill new holes. For Heel shoes probably not recommended, the plate is too heavy and you can't fix it on the back. Check @MARAWA she does some amazing custom skates with high heels! maybe she can help you :)

If you plan to use as stock I recommend the narrow trucks version, but the DLX is a 10º plate so it means you can mount 3" Penny trucks or CIB trucks which are very popular for park.

No, with blades it doesn't work, you need a high and strong cuff to hold the ankle to be able to stand on inline skates :(

Both kits include the wheels and bearings but Yes you can remove the wheels and then also change the bearings that are included, they are compatible with any roller skate and skateboard wheels and bearings. I hope that helps!

Hi, The DLX provides a very special feeling on turns and very fun to skate but is not a setup for everyone, the SLV is the standard setup, you can't go wrong with that one ;)

Hi, basically what I've shown in the video, one has narrow trucks, the other wide trucks. Narrow trucks is the standard on roller skates, agile and stable. The DLX has skateboarding wide trucks, so while it allows for very close turns, the skating experience is little weird as you have to skate with legs spread and be careful the wheels don't touch each other. Both are fun setups, but the narrow trucks plate is better overall for skating.
