It depends on the type of injury. My back gets injured but there's certain things I can still do like lift heavy stuff to move it, just can't twist certain ways usually. People always accuse me of faking injuries because of this lol..like I literally won't be able to look down, will have a lot of pain, can't twist, but I can help carry / move a couch just fine lol

The reason these appeal to me is that they're easily transportable and smaller than regular roller skates. I figure skate but probably will never learn to do any tricks on roller skating (too scared of falling lol). But I'd love to get a pair of roller skates so I can get around campus quicker. They seem small enough to pack into a suitcase and travel around with. I wonder if they'd be good enough for that?

Roller skating is wayy easier to keep your balance imo. I fell every time figure skating but I’ve never fallen while roller skating.. and its hilarious cause I only go roller skating around 4x every 1-2 years so I have to relearn the basics everytime that I go😂 You got this lol

Good thing to remember the moving parts have to be oiled or they will get stuck from dry friction. Over time the oil will disappear comes from factory oiled. The shoes need to be maintained

If I'd be able to redesign this, i'd put the front wheels more up front. Even though i don't have them, i always feel like I would fall face first on the ground since the space between the front wheels and your toes is quite big 😅

I'm one year late, but I just got them today, and the reason why the front wheels aren't so close to the front side is because we need this space to be empty so we can tilt the shoes to the front as the brakes (yes, they design the front tips to work as brakes)

I love seeing how popular skating has become in the past 2+ years, I hope this "trend" doesn't die out any time soon and it becomes just as "normal" as skateboarding and BMX now is. Remember when skateboarding wasn't as mundane and reserved for the rebels, but now Tony Alva is 60 and Tony hawk 50 and everyone has at least made an attempt to stand on a board. I cant wait for the leading Gals (because they are killing the game) and Gents to be 60 and everyone has "at least made an attempt...". *cheers to all skaters and future skaters. As I figure skater I found them really fun to use as I was use to being on a blade my ankles had more control so I would not roll as much, you get use to them and find your own way to make them better for you, I love them though especially when I need to walk to school.

@@eimear7043 I just buy a rookie classic in black and they are pretty good for the price, vrey good quality and good shoe for a vegan leather, great plate and very good feelling in toe stops, wheels are good for inside but quite soft so great for outdoors but be carefull they are small so depends on the floor cracks and other irregularities they can be complicated (thats why for outside I buy soft and bigger weels) ... they are really good for the price I paid... normally 100 euros I find them in amazon for onli65!!!! cause they are very small sizes is 35.5 european, my feet are super small a 35 and even the boot fits me perfect, my recomendation is to buy half or one size more than you use. Hope it gives you usefull info. I woud love to see her reviwing rookie is a great brand.

I'm buying either these or the Impala inline skates... Ahhh Edit 4 days later: i ended up getting these on Amazon. Mine came with a little metal handle that allowed me to loosen the wheels. After that, i had better control when skating. I needed help the first time but once i loosened the wheels, i was able to skate on my own without holding someone's hand lol. These are a lot better for practicing than actual quad skates, but I'm saying this as an ex-blader. 😝 The only thing that worries me is that there's no stop guard attachment. How to open/close: the first time you have to push EXTREMELY hard on the button. After there first time, it's a lot easier. My boyfriend had to help me lol make sure the arrow is pointing up to open/close the wheels and move the arrow a different direction to lock them for safety. 👍👍👍

Indie is my hero I am a 54 yearr old woman and. I am impressed she is representing a lifestyle that I began in in 1973. My first skates were Roller Derby street King Shoe Skates the fireball edition. They had plastic wheels I believe. I took them to a ring and they refused my skates telling me my wheels would scratch the floor. I thought skates were skates but the more Im watching Indies videos she is so passionate for a recreation that I love. I ordered my impala skates and should be getting them june 3rd 2021. The vast knowledge I have learned from this young lady makes me feel more educated and more empowered I dont know the hardships shes had to endure I hate drama however to judge and persecute a person for the rest of their life because of a mistake that they have made is simply unGodly, cruel uncompassionate and just downright ignorant. Whatever a person has done if that person has asked for forgiveness and truly has shown remorse and has put all pride and ego aside then that person should be forgiven. Anyone willing to crucify this young lady every single day of her life and every single post you make lets me see the mental pain and misery and lack of compassion that person beholds. I see this young lady and all the content and education and love and passion she has given to the sport and I see this is not a young lady that needs to just go away. This is a young lady that needs to stand proud in the face of discrimination. By the way isnt that the exact reason you originally tried to break her spirit and her dreams. I tasted discrimination at the age of 9 when a skate ring would not let me in because I didnt have the right skates and had to go right back home because I had no money to rent them. When you are excluded it makes you feel unworthy, alone and sad. Whatever has transpired with this young lady just know its not easy to stand in the face of an angry crowd throwing stones casting judgment. But our own Lord and savior did it knowing that He could not let them break Him and win. No matter the sin or mistake EVERYONE deserves forgiveness. I hope this special young lady picks herself up rebrands herself and gets a better kind loving team. Not one that will cast her to the wolves all alone when she has made a mistake or things get dark and unpredictable. Bless you Indie dear you are this 54 year old woman's hero.You have inspired and given courage to this old gal to get out there and skate again. Those were terrible. You could show off in front of 5th graders for having them, but god have mercy on your soul if you would actually try to ride them. Slow and clumsy are some compliments I have. Not for someone who is older than 11 years for sure.

Hello! For future reference so you know with shoes from another country... Size EU 37 is US size 6 and UK size 4, they are 23 cm... I have EU 37 and this is what is says inside my shoes made by known brands. The size on the Chinese shoes is messed up haha, I got so confused! The best way to know your size when buying shoes from China is to follow their size guide and measure your feet, and also to read reviews to see what others have said about the sizing since it is technically not accurate

Many years ago there was an Italian made sandal clog that had pop-out wheels just like these. They even made an appearance in an episode of a TV cop drama where shoplifters would nab something, pop out the wheels and then skate away through a crowd. I'd much rather have a pair of Nash Cruisers to-Go skates with their detachable trucks. But, those are a bit scarce these days.

Just got a pair off of FB marketplace for $20. Haven't skated seriously since I was a kid a long time ago. A long long time ago. Been thinking about it lately and figured it would be a good way to get the feel of wheels again. My philosophy is to start with crappy stuff and by the time I get used to it, getting the real deal would feel like butter. Or I break my middle aged tail bone. And, all that long long time ago, there were shoe skates built into platform clog sandals! Tiny plastic wheels flipped out.

What do you think about used skates? Im trying to afford a nicer pair for myself & my teenager, like moxi or moonlight--- but that quality and cute factor costs! We were thinking of buying used but don't know if its a good idea?

Yay! my fav yt just made an AMAZING VID and i just went roller skating! btw these skates aren’t that safe for these reasons , to small of wheels, to tiny bases to skate with and has no toe stop! btw i know what that base thing is i just can’t think of it rn LOL
