Very nice guide! Seeing guides from people that are extremely experienced is nice to see because sometimes people like you show tips that people like me could never think of

Thanks for this. I was using Keybr to learn touch typing and averaged 70 wpm over three weeks but adding real-world challenges to my typing tests with MT made me realize that I'm much slower and have much more room for improvement!

I definitely agree. I have used a combination of ChatGPT and Google Bard to create a practice set related to the medical field. Initially, I tried asking it for the top 100 words used in medical notes which didn’t work out very well, but then I asked it to create sample medical notes, then remove the capitals and punctuation, and remove filler words, such as “the and on or to…“ which worked out well.

Great video, is there any special settings to improve accuracy over speed? I want to turn of my typing speed at the end. Instead I only want to see my accuracy. Can we do that? Thank you
@Octahedron2 Жыл бұрын
There is no way to turn off seeing your typing speed completely but if you make sure “live wpm” is off you won’t see it during the test. If you turn on “live acc” then you can see your accuracy during the test. If you want to practice accuracy there’s also the test difficulty settings which end the test if you make a mistake, and the stop on error setting forces you to correct mistakes. You can also turn on “min acc” which will fail the test if you go below the accuracy that you set it to.

This might be extrapolation of information, but the most commonly missed SFBS’s seems to be weighted for the left hand. Is that just showing that more people are right handed them left handed/ambidextrous?
@Octahedron22 ай бұрын
My list of top 10 sfbs is actually just the most common ones as they appear in typical english so if you’re going off that it then that’s not representative of people’s actual ability to type them. Also, QWERTY has more of the most common characters put on the left hand (there is about a 55/45 split on left hand vs. right hand usage) so even if you were accounting for people’s accuracy, it wouldn’t be surprising to find more mistakes on the left hand just because there are more sfbs on the left hand.

This is awesome, I had no idea that all those code languages were available. I’ve been using custom types with code not realizing it’s built in 🤦♂️

Hi the thing is that when i try to type i always miss the keys and it is very annoying and i cant type fast can u recommend any websites or methods to help me?
@Octahedron22 ай бұрын
I would recommend just typing slower and really focusing on accuracy. If you want to learn touch typing and to be accurate at the same time then typingclub is my personal favorite. Ultimately it just comes down to practice and not rushing yourself, if you become more accurate then speed will naturally follow
