Is it normal to have it cause a muscle spasm during the first injection of the esi? My first round of esi in lumbar was very traumatic it all stems from a fall that caused a broken coccyx and trauma to sacrum(s1) and found out also bulged disc to l4-l5) spinal stenosis. Could all this happened from my fall backwards bc I fell at angle not in a sitting position on a concrete surface and felt electricity all the way up my spine and lost the use of my legs for a short period. Terrified bc I thought I was gonna be wheel chair bound. Lasted about 15 minutes. Took about 3 days to be able to walk across my floor. Took about a month and a half to fully trust my legs still in physical therapy apparently I damaged my sacrum joint as well. Is it possible to avoid surgery
