I know it's been 13 years since this video was posted, but I just want to thank you! My toilet was clogged for almost 2 days. I tried everything. My plunger wasn't working (turns out I was using the wrong type of plunger without the flange. I had no idea that those were for sinks and not toilets until I watched your video!). I also used a toilet auger and that did nothing at all. The water level in my toilet was near overflowing and it was so disgusting. I let my toilet water drain down for a few hours and I went out and purchased the flange plunger you suggested. I got it from Walmart for a few dollars. I used the plunger exactly the way you said to. I let it fill up with water slowly as I inserted it into the bowl. I copied your movements. Suddenly after days of hopelessness, my toilet unclogged just as quickly as you demonstrated. Seriously, I think it took around 11 seconds for me too. You are amazing and this video saved my life!!! OMG I'm at my sister's house she's not home and let's just say the bowl was full and I tried flushing which just made it worse. I was trying everything I can (and I'm a pretty handy guy) and it seemed futile. All I was armed with was a cheap plunger which wasn't working and a toilet brush. I even went as far as to make a homemade snake. The dread I was feeling, realizing the impending doom of... well... my boom, was going to cause an awkward interaction with either a friend, plumber or worse.... my sister!!! I want to thankyou - I have had a blocked toilet for days and tried all the usual hacks x I ordered a plunger like you demonstrate and was going to dive in to the far from clean “stuff” in my commode lol then you said watch out because it could rise up and make a mess on you and bathroom so I put on rubber gloves and took a bowl and putting all my considerable squeamishness aside I removed a large proportion of what was there 🤢 and then set to plunging x I poured water down and it came up to top then put in b soda and vinegar went away and left things and went back raised the lid and level of water is normal!!! You sir are a star!!! Tried all the other remedies to clear the clog ,dish soap, bi-carb, vinegar, $4 plunger. Paid $15 for one of these and cleared the clog up in around 10 seconds.... love ya work even though this is 12 years old.

SON OF A TWITCH IT WORKED!!! I have been trying to use this to unclog my toilet for a full 1/2 frustrating hours to the point I was ready to sit down and cry girl-tears then I started searching on YT and was recommended to come here on another video. If you put the toilet seat down with the plunger in it, it wont splash up over the side so you can get real aggressive.
