How to Underarm Serve - Your First Volleyball Serve

In this video we learn the 3 basic keys of an Underarm Serve.
I know a lot of people call it an underhand serve, but thats never made sense to me. I call it Underarm because its very similar to an underarm throw. It doesnt matter lol but I thought I'd include that lore piece.

I love this video coach, could you please consider doing one for spike approach that is similar in format and complexity? Started volleyball about a year ago and learnt 2-step approach to keep things simple but now I struggle learning the 4-step approach you showed in previous video about timing. Great work thanks for being so informative and keeping things easy to understand! (made same comment in how to set vid wasn't sure you'd get to it on an older vid, sorry :D)

What do you do with kids who toss the ball or raise their holding hand?

Ask them what they think they're doing then show them a recording of what tneyre actually doing. Most kinds dont actually know what theyre doing or what they look like.

There is this crazy curved under arm serve with hand open and hit the ball between thumb and index finger triangle area. Wonder how does that work. 😅
