How To Unhook A Catfish With A Dehooker (Quick & Easy Way Without Getting Spined)

Using a dehooker is the easiest way to get catfish off of the line without getting spined.
You don’t have to handle them and get any of their slime on you, plus it’s super quick to unhook them so you can get back to fishing for your target species.

A dehooker is an invaluable tool here in Florida since nearly every fish wants to sting, bite or cut you. If you don't have one, get one, you won't regret it. You literally never have to bring by-catch into your boat ever again. Trust me when I say, someday by-catch will ruin your day on the water if you have to handle it every single time. Tight lines.

The replay is a different fish. The first fish had no bait on the hook. The second fish on the replay has bait on the hook.
