The 2nd option actually helped! I've been trying to delete facebook messenger for months with no success (f**k facebook!) and even had an IT company try to assist with no success! So beyond grateful to (hopefully) be rid of that MALWARE messenger!

Thanks so much, just updated to Windows 11 last week (yes, I was a hold out) and was seeing apps left behind that I decided to delete. Even though the apps were deleted, and I had gained storage space back, the app names were still showing. Your Control Panel method worked in deleting names and path.
