I have a little story that makes this hit me differently. In my current DnD campaign Descend into Avernus my character is a high elf sorcerer with amnesia that party found in hell (since my previous character died permanently). Yada yada yada, we save Elthurel, and as we ascend from Avernus the curse is lifted and my memory is back. Now where fun part comes in. I remember being a noble in a city we know, about 30 years ago. Even more, I was an important lord of waterways and canals, and I married the girl from common folk. My name was Lord Basset Vanthampur and my little son is called Thurstfel. Well... at least he was before the party murdered him and my wife. To make things even funnier it was my previous character who dealt killing blows. Now we officially ended the module... but the campaign is still going and I am very excited to see how the story will end

Ended up backhanding Thurstwell with a shove out of the window and fell to his death 😂 The Paladins reaction go just straight up yeeting him to death was phenominal, left the party in creases.

I knew it was sketchy when I first saw it. I just thought it was a potion. And I don't usually use potions. Until the final big fight my mouse was having issues and wasn't clicking properly. And I was trying to throw a healing potion to gale for heals. But instead I clicked on the iron flask and threw it. Needless to say gale was toast. But the spectator killed a lot of the enemies as well as my allies.

I double clicked it and it opened, wanted to examine it, managed to kill it while completely panicked, this happened in the underdark because I'd only just noticed it in astarions inventory

​@@Skilful_3751Same. The thing that killed me is that I re did the fight 5 times because the dang spectator literally HUNTED for scratch. It even opened the doors to the room I locked Scratch in, just to kill scratch! And I had thought that it would be a genie.

Yeah. I just kill them, take the flask, and throw it from the steps into cazadors ritual. The trash mobs will encircle the spectator and when one turn has passed, you should upcast fireball into the encircled mob. Then it's just you and cazador. BTW, if you stay on the steps, your team doesn't get pulled into initiative until the fireball is cast, and Astarion can stay on the steps for ranged attacks.

You can also get it during the quest to get Minsc if you give it back to the Zentarim. Just kill the halfling as she runs away during the Minsc encounter and she will have it in her inventory.

Alternatively you could just steal the chest and never meet with the Zhentarium.. this does give you secret Dialogue where during Minsc's quest, with the gang war.. the Iron Flask, when revealed,makes you an auto-matic enemy with the Zhentarium.

Only used it vs Raphael 😂 I was desperate, but it actually helped as I launched it behind enemy lines, and it distracted and disrupted them quite a bit, enough for me me to clear up the battlefield a little, and gain the upper hand. In the end I had to kill the spectator myself when it had little life left and was starting to attack my party due to too few enemies remaining standing. All of this on Balanced mode. Now I am doing Tactician, and I plan to do the same

It's also a good place to use it on the courtyard where all the Absolute enemies are (the part before the climb up past all the Mind Flayers and brains). It sits at the back sniping off the annoying archers. Throwing the big bomb from the underdark also works as long as you lob it with a strong person off a high ledge

Best way to use that think is throwing it out in the dark part of the shadow cursed lands. Then letting it die and come back as an undead, then Planer Binding it. Lets you keep it as a pet until it dies.

I had the chest in my inventory by accident for like the entire playthrough until I was looking and wondered why I had a random chest. I lock picked it and had no clue what the flask was so I just held onto it assuming I could trap something in there. Currently at the ending and let’s just say I got myself an extra “ally”

my first play through i didn’t know you shouldnt open the casket i didnt find the letter, so i open it give it to the lady she attacks me says i doomed them all so i reload right before that then just threw it at her and it finished most of them while i looted and killed the rest. what i didn’t know is you could steal it back after gaining favor ill try it on my next run i love fighting beholders they are so creepy and cool at the same time.

This is not the only route to access all of the rewards, it is simply one of a few variations. I really get a tad irritated with KZbinrs claiming to have the single solution to something in BG3... Its a little pathetic because it means they either have not played the game enough, or they are scamming you. Either way, its sad..

Or. Use illithud powers on knolls. Make them kill the 2 zhents, and then each other. Take the chest after knolls are dead. Head to zhent base. Say you have the chest. Get Harold and gold. Push or shoot Zarys off then shoot flameable Barrels. They all die. Take chest from corpse and all good new gear from merchant. Titanbow, electric armor, giant breaker. Fun stuff

This is definitely the most efficient way, though you def want to buy Brem's stuff before you push her down there. You also need to kill her before long resting to get the chest back.

@@beepbeeplettuce5890 I've had the Rugen tied up scene twice, and both times it resulted in me not getting Harold, just some gold. I've also exhausted every outcome/possibility. Now I just like to sneak in the back with enhanced leap and take the chest without getting into combat, and then come back later to kill the knolls. If you kill Zarys before you long rest/leave she will still have the shipment on her, I like to push her off the cliff and blow everyone up after I've acquired Brenn's good stuff.

For anyone saying its not like Warframe. The Ultimate Characters are literally the prime example that this game is like Warftame. Normal = Normal. In this case i will Say Bunny = Volt. Prime = Ultimate. I wont be surprised if later down the line they also copy Warframes Umbral Mechanics. And the Weapon system is very Destiny. Primary, Energy and Heavy. Does the story live up to Warframes? That i have no idea yet.

Titanbow (str modifier to dmg) giant slayer crossbow (gives condition reeling for two turns) gloves of thievery (S Tier item for act 1, gives adv to sleight of hand) and sparks vest(if you have lightning charges while hit it gives shocked to attackers) and a rare dyes which are IMO valuable for drip early game

Nothing special. But earning the favor of the Zentarim let's you access the special inventory of the vendor, who has a few really nice items, including the Titan String Bow, which is arguably the best bow in the game (3 very good bows, the others being Gontr Mael and Deadshot), and the only top tier bow available before act 3.

@@user-mu8ok5xf8d It's a +1 crossbow that inflicts Bane for 2 turns on hit if the target fails a charisma check. Actually quite useful early on if you have a ranged attacker.

@@jeremygilbert7989wrong bow. Titanstring adds your Strength modifier to the bow’s damage (so if you have 18 Dex and 21 STR from an elixir, its damage is 1d8+(1+5+4)). Edit: I’m stupid, didn’t realize this comment was talking about Harold. The crossbow is okay but the Banshee Bow is also available in Act 1 and is better (and you could also just dual wield hand crossbows)
