So when you upgrade the class of the ship does it unlock the supercharged slots?

Kind of, you get a number of supercharged slots based on class: C=1, B=2, A=3 S=4 If you upgrade your ship to S-Class and you can only see 3 super charged slots you will next to expand the inventory of the technology bays until you find it.

What's the difference between this and fighting the sentinels in 5 waves?

Time mainly, this way is quicker. Also instead of an echo locator that leads to a camp you can use over and over to ping ships you get a Dreadnaught AI fragment which will lead directly to a down sentinel but you need to use one for each ship.

What os a sentinel ship is it a living ship how menny types ofbships are there is there a list ?

The ships types are Shuttle, Fighter, Hauler, Explorer, Solar, Sentinel, living and exotic which come in two flavours, royal and squid.
