When you defeat the enemy bases in the desert you can steal the wind turbines and solar panels once you destroy the glowing fist

I can't progress past the ocean trader, says kill techs, and the other objectives dont show..

ocean trader blows, mount guns use them as propulsion.

How did you change the color of your base?

it's the same as how you color the techs. in build mode, click skin and pick a color.
