I was waiting for the ol' classic: internal centrifugally-activated locking pins. The Allen head on the "set screw" could have been a red herring. It may have been a smooth pin that's friction fitted tightly enough that it won't rattle, but loosely enough that a good spin would pop it out. An interlocking pin would make it harder! Instead of the Allen wrench in the hidden head compartment, put a neodymium magnet on the underside of the cap and make the interlock pin magnetic so you have to use the magnet to push or pull the interlock out of place while spinning the puzzle to move the Allen head pin out of place and free the nut. :)

That’s a lock not puzzle 🧩 dummmm Axee it’s a secret lock to deter theft we use them in HVAC to avoid certain things from being unscrewed by stealing . We try not to tel that many people about this. It’s not a toy 🤦🏽‍♂️
