@@Bigmonto I know that the little circular cut exists on some bolts but it doesn't change the fact that they intentionally hid the full face of the bolt-head from the camera to further obscure it. It's, "seam" not, "seem"

haha, thats a fun puzzle. i have one that looks a bit similar. its a bolt with a nut in the middle that can't be moved. you have to remove an object from the bolt, but its trapped by the nut. at first, it looks like you can just pull it through a hole at the bottom of the screw, but obviously it wont work. the trick is, you've gotta unscrew the nut the "wrong" way. its a pretty easy puzzle, but i like the engineering of it

@@DoNotDisturb. Not really, for example a rubics, there are no hidden tricks/compartments to solve the puzzle. Watching someone solve a rubics cube doesn't mean you can suddenly solve it yourself- that's the hallmark of a really engaging puzzle. These puzzles are akin to riddles then puzzles. Most good puzzles place all the required things to solve it within your view you just had to figure it out. People that complain that some of these puzzles shown here aren't actual puzzles would have a simple Jigsaw puzzle as there primary example. If someone shows you the solution of a 10-100 piece puzzle, you'd probably know how to solve it. But if someone showed you the solution to a 1000 piece you'd be hard pressed to solve it. Here are a few puzzles that don't rely on cheap tricks: Sudoku Crossword Maze Brain teaser Word search Crossword Sudoku Cryptogram Logic puzzle Kakuro Mathematical puzzle KenKen Jigsaw puzzle Rubik's Cube Rebus Tangram Nurikabe Eternity puzzle Disentanglement puzzle Rubik's Magic Sliding puzzle Mahjong solitaire Chess puzzle

@@dwlonewolf2273 thank you! If only there is a way to have your comment posted on this chanel's fromt page .. you couldnt have explained it better .. and people need to know that. You are 100% right. Most of the puzzles here rely on luck. Rely on hidden information. You dont have to be smart to know how to solvd it. You can also solve it if you are lucky, or just keep moving things around hoping for something to happen. Some puzzles literally need to be shaken a bit to be solved. Thats not a puzzle .. any kid can solve it. No brain work there. I was waiting for the ol' classic: internal centrifugally-activated locking pins. The Allen head on the "set screw" could have been a red herring. It may have been a smooth pin that's friction fitted tightly enough that it won't rattle, but loosely enough that a good spin would pop it out. An interlocking pin would make it harder! Instead of the Allen wrench in the hidden head compartment, put a neodymium magnet on the underside of the cap and make the interlock pin magnetic so you have to use the magnet to push or pull the interlock out of place while spinning the puzzle to move the Allen head pin out of place and free the nut. :)
