I have problems with wrinkles! I’m following your steps. Mod Podge, then lay napkin over, use cling wrap to smooth. It looks great. But then, putting modge podge on top, makes it wrinkle. What an i doing wrong?

Hi Christina, I believe it is because of napkin you were using. In some of my projects I used to have same issue. Then I would use a cling wrap once again, after applying final layer of Mod Podge. You can watch one of my videos where you can see how it was done kzbin.info/www/bejne/hXXWZKFpgrqXfNE 3:52 minute. I apply a lot of Mod Podge, and then through the cling wrap smooth everything out. Be careful by removing wrap from the surface. In that video, on one side of the bottle I used a single layer napkin, on the other - 2 layers. Two layers tend to make bubbles/wrinkles but sometimes one layer is too thin.

Thank you so much Donna! I like the Minwax Polycrylic finish, and I have been using it for all my projects recently (glass, wood). Originally I wanted clear matte but was only able to find clear satin. It has some shine but not too glossy.

How did you get the applique on a napkin?

For my crafts I use napkins that already have printed applique/image on them. Hope that helps.
