How to update Perkons for chromatic play

Not sure why someone would waste one of only 4 drum voices on this for a very limited synth melody.

@@snörre23Because it sounds crazy and is quick hands on access to get some sounds that are very unconventional! And you can sequence one track externally to create a melody while the other three play a more repetitive percussive beat. IMO this thing is more than a drum machine. The noise and drone type sounds it can make so quickly is the real beauty of the machine. To me it’s a perfect compliment to a sample based drum machine for added texture, layering, and melodic drone.

Salutations Somnambule. That's a good idea. I wouldn't mind a few more good noise sources, deep metal and even a smooth tom. This update's a great start though.

Das erlesene Gerät in blaugrün (?) vermag immer wieder zu gefallen und fügt sich angenehm in die schwarze Umgebung ein. Ich freu mich schon auf ein Kumpeltreff mit der DB01. 🙂

Zuerst dachte ich, es würde Chernobyl-Grün sein, aber in Wirklichkeit ist es Entenei-Blau. Ich denke darüber nach, ein schwarzes Overlay zu erstellen. Aber Sie haben Recht, es braucht seine kleinen DB-01-Freunde im Orbit.

Hey Richard probably I found a little bug on the new firmware, it regard the kit fx function, once enable, the delay lfo rate “freeze” and stop working, when you switch between the kits once the perkons is in play mode. Have you experienced this?

It does seem odd. I'm finding the delay often defaults to 0 and gives that classic karplus/flanger effect.

@@RichardDeHove so you confirm there is probably a bug in the firmware? I’m in touch with Erica synth but they need more reports, they still think that is not a bug of the firmware but a problem with my kits.

@@lovetrademark If I save a new kit, or update a kit, it loads and plays fine. But kits saved before the latest update all seem to have the delay time at zero. Hard to see that there's any kind of fix for this, just have to update the kits....

@@RichardDeHove in my unit the problem regards the lfo rate of the delay, once you activate the kit fx function and switch between the kits , it freeze. Not sure we got the same problem, but seems that is definitely a problem regarding the new firmware update. Hope they fix it.

@@lovetrademark Apologies, I didn't quite understand before. Now I look at the delay modulation LFO I think you are 100% correct. My LFO light is permanently stuck on and I can't get any modulation on the delay at all!
