How to UPDATE PS5 System SOFTWARE with USB DRIVE (FIX Update Errors)

Do you want to know how to UPDATE PS5 system software with an USB DRIVE! This will fix any update errors you have been experiencing. Now go to playstation dot com and then follow these steps from playstation
"Using a PC or Mac, create a folder named "PS5" on a USB drive formatted as FAT32. Inside that folder, create another folder named "UPDATE". Download the update file (button below) and save it in the "UPDATE" folder. Save the file as "PS5UPDATE.PUP". Plug the USB drive containing the file into your PS5 console. Start the PS5 console in Safe Mode: press and hold the power button, releasing after the second beep. Select Safe Mode option 3: Update System Software. Select Update from USB Storage Device - OK"
Your PS5 should be update to date now!

Mines will not update via USB or internet keep getting error code SU-101312-8. This is frustrating mainly with Sony it's be so many issues with these systems since they dropped.

Take your u s b, drive up to best buy and have them install the "reinstall file" that may work. My PS5 is a total wash. And I'm sending it back Sony only because there is just too many software update issues. And I'm going back to Xbox where I never had any issues.

Format your USB Create a folder and rename it as PS5. Inside that folder, create another folder and rename it as "Update" Then open the Update folder, copy and paste the file you downloaded. If you miss any of the steps, it won't work

After Sony fixed it, I took it to gamestop and as much as I like that PS5 and as a first time Owner of one I just could not deal with the malfunctions anymore. So i'm staying with the xbox

Alright here's a Riddle. I try to update via internet. Finishes, at the very end says, corrupted. Everyone says to use the USB because it's my "network connection" (it's not, does the same thing at three households), got a usb, installed the update, Finishes, say corrupted...NOW what... 🙄🙄

I did this...and my screen only allows me to select option 8 " reset ps5". I put in 4 different USB and even had best buy do it and nothing works. It keeps saying " cant reset ps5". Im sending it back to Sony for the 2nd time this year. When they fix it im selling it and getting a Xbox. Sony has wayyyyyy to many issues

@@agentsmith7947 wasnt able to fix it, eventually i send it out to sony , after a whole process of sending it out and everything and payin 250$ cuz i didnt have warranty, i saw that i got refunded the money and when i received the ps5 back , they said they couldnt fix it because it was “tampered” , dont know why, ive cleaned the console a couple times so it shows its been opened before so maybe thats why im not sure, but i ended up just buying a new one i wasnt tryna call and send it back again cuz honestly it was a hassle with how long it took and everything maybe ill fix my old one in the future somehow

Guys you can do it with an Ethernet cable! Just got a rental cuz mine needs to be fixed and just number 8 popped up as the only option I plugged my Ethernet cable in turned off the ps5 held it to turn it on and it gave me the other options so I basically factory reset the PlayStation then boom it came on singed into my account while my ps5 is going for repair

For the people who are getting a “something went wrong” message, I found a solution, hold down the power button until you hear two beeps, this’ll shut off the ps5. You’ll now have more options to choose from. Now, scroll down to clear cache and clear cache. Your ps5 should now boot-up

@@bealert1728 I went to this place called game guys they charged me like $250 for cleaning the system and same day pick up which were extra cost but they fixed it and it works just fine which I have a feeling that what the video was saying was true that it has a lot to do with the blu ray disc drive or something bc mine didn’t act up until the disc weren’t being read
