Great advice. Ive just bought one of these digital clusters. The M logo makes sense, or if you could upload your own image, maybe adjust the size. Having an image of a car model looks silly plus the aspect ratio of the image is off. An image of the car's rear would make sense for when drive assist functions (cruise control, etc) are active. Most of us installing this have already modified the exterior of our cars with spoilers, lips, exhaust, etc. so if we could upload our own image of our car's rear that'd be pretty cool

Lets see. Most these clusters come from same producer. Resellers just brand their box and manual and import/sell in their respective country. I got exactly the same with exact same software version, but mine is from Aliexpress for 350usd. Same as with the Android HU (at the end XTRONS; AVINUSA are all selling the same ones) you never know how many updates the suppliers are actually providing....the good thing about this cluster is, that it is mostly working without issues. Some translations are off and mileage is not sent back to the car (mileage is wrong in ECUs plus error coded never have the actual mileage.), but the ECU mileage thing is something updates cannot fix because it is a design mistake by the original supplier... Still a great product in my 20 year old e60 :-)

Man I've had this cluster in my F02, for a year & 7 months...and it never had the car images on it I was so disappointed but eventually got over it after some months lol. Now you just made me a happy man with this video I always asked the seller how to get it, but they never helped me. Question though...what's up with no F01/02 picture? Lol Also I noticed on some other firmwares, when you open the doors...it uses the car image you select. This one puts a random car Also seems to be a left hand drive firmware, because when I open my driver door...it shows the passenger side open

The cable looks the same and fits in the "port" but for some reason it did not work. Its like the cable doesnt recognise the usb stick and gauge cluster doesnt update

It used to show a photo of car with open door when you open door. Now it shows just a sketch. Same in tire pressure and tire angle. Can it show again photo of car ? Can we downgrade to previous version to restore that ? I tried to install previous dashboard file but it doesn't work

You need to go to factory then put in 0168 and update the tank to 28l and the other one to 35l I believe it’s shows here for a second

Hi just fitted this to my e90 everything works fine apart from when I open the door it shows me the opposite door example open driver door the display shows passenger door. I’ve been through the settings 100 times and I can’t forget this out. Any help would be much appreciated.

The BMW E9X chassis is programmed from the factory to automatically stop giving oil levels after 186,000 miles. So the car itself is coded to never give another reading after that mileage. I installed this digital dash when I hit 200,000 miles so I’ve never got to actually check my oil level.

You don’t need a 64GB, the files are small, you could use an 8GB drive. Remember you absolutely have to rename the files to dashboard.zip and do each update one at a time. there can’t be a single thing on the drive besides one of the files

If you don’t update the cluster and keep it on the software it comes from out of the box, it won’t have the m logo. This would also disable the BMW boot logo though

I recently installed this cluster and it’s software no longer has the car images, m lettering or says BMW during boot up. It also does not accept this update. I like the fact that the car image is gone. It’s a much cleaner look now
