HOW TO update the software on the FORD MAVERICK

*Sorry for the "jumping around" on this video. We know it's a little hard to follow at first. We were having a lot of camera issues as well as issues with the Maverick's infotainment system! Hence the video of us updating the software*
Here is a little instructional video on how to update the software or firmware on the FORD MAVERICK display (or the Infotainment unit as some call it). Leave me a comment if you have found other fixes or bugs with the Maverick that we should cover!

What does the update fix? I have been aggravated by the audio source randomly defaulting to radio when I have a USB drive installed

Seems like tethering to your smartphone over wifi could be useful if getting close to a router isn't an option.

I did download software but didn't get confirmation could it be just takes a day as instalation was at 100

I'm 67 , the wheels don't make it go better - but nice rims really sets the XL off .

Will this update fix the bluetooth disconnecting issues

I don't think it does sadly, but, I have read on a forum that if you are on an iPhone, going into your iPhone setting and doing a "reset Network Settings" and then deleting the device on the truck and then reconnecting it has fixed the issue for others. I haven't really had a problem on either of my Mav's.

Do you know if this software update over the entertainment center is also for the break sensitivity recall that's out

That would be a dealership update. The WiFi update is for the infotainment center software not ECU software.

Yeah, I would have to agree with @iSteven180, the dealer will probably have to update the ABS module/ECU for the brake fix.

How often do updates come through

I really do not know, I do not think they are scheduled or anything. On the other hand, I know in the last year or so, there has been 2 updates (at least)
