i normally use the time portal under the Kitching sink you just have to keep moving stuff to get deeper in there and then pull back out my head spins a lot but time as past am sure its nothing to do with the brasso stored under there and the old astonish silver cleaner that was dads on rags smiles. nice bit of escaping reality and good use of the Tron like world I fully enjoyed todays content Shark thankyou

Thanks, I'm still learning a lot on board grading. There are some boards that float the line it appears. Question I'd have is can some of the older gold finger cards cross over into high telcom? I've seen some that are loaded with chips, mostly older cards from the early 386/486 PC era.

The short answer is yes. But so much depends on the board. I have had "gold finger" cards that were really telcom with gold fingers.

Good morning Shark Scrapper. I will be visiting Boardsort near us for the first time. Does your opinion change about not having to pay shipping costs when it comes to depopulating boards? Also, does Boardsort buy depopulated pieces such as capacitors etc.? How are there copper prices versus Local Scrap yards? Thanks. Appreciate your knowledge and experience.

That is ecxact my case. the only way profitable formeon large boxesishigh telecom thanksfor that important data BTW. i was waiting to Chris show a switch board that part with all that conectors pretty heavy covered with metal sheet. do that pass as high telecomor has to be cut too or sheet metal onli remove? what above that? regards sharkand chris

@@sharkscrapper the switches like sisco with one side full of rj5 connectors in the back very heavy and connectors covered with a metal sheet. lots of swithes are like that

Thank you for clarifying for me. If the board is densely populated with ICs, flat packs and BGA's it can still be high telcom even with those connectors (which have gold plated pins in them).
