Only HDD or SSD with max. 7 mm height fits. And isolation tape between M2 and HDD/SSD prevent electronic contact problems. Also the HDD should fix with adhensive tabe, because vibration are not good for the connector pins.

i can confirm that this is 100% working like a charm.. I've tried it myself on my own 820 G3 using 2.5" SanDisk SSD.. after the instalation of the 2nd SSD, all i had to do is setting the partition on windows disk management (create volume, formatting, signing drive letter).. no BIOS setting necessary.. both ssd can work simultaneously.. thank you so much for uploading this video.

can you please confirm that you can put an NVME SSD on the laptop. i have an 820 G3 and i'm on hold because i want to get the Samsung 970 Evo NVME . but still i don't know if it will be accepted. thanks in advance for any insight you might provide

i recently installed 1TB HDD 2.5 7mm WD in to the slot same as this video. an its work fine with me. notice that the overlapping position on HDD and SSD has a little space, so as a piece of paper can go trough them. this explained that they are not electronically shorted. mine is more extreme, my under side of WD HDD is open Green Board with such component that if SSD and HDD is shorted, the both harddrive might be blown. but its not. they spaced each other... even though the manual said twice to not combining SSD and HDD 2.5". this trully worked fine with me.

Thanks a lot , amazing video. Can I ask one question please. I want to get an M.2 NVME OCZ RD400 to install on the HP Elitebook 820 G3. Also I want to install a 2.5 inch SSD (deciding based mostly on measurements between the Crucial BX300, the Samsung 850 Evo or the Western Digital black. Can you confirm that putting both of them will work on the machine. Especially when it comes to make them fit without problems. Thanks in advance

Thanks, i tough it would be tight fit, but it looks fine! I will make a dual-boot windows/linux with two drives. (i know i can do it on one drive, but i dont want to have mixed file systems on one ssd, and then the TRIM wont work like it should under windows/linux) Windows 1X + Batocera
