Today we're upgrading the Charging Ahead starter deck! It's an Gruul Haste deck, but unfortunately there aren't really any payoffs for playing creatures with Haste, so we'll just jam it full of powerful Gruul stompy creatures!

Doesn't he show the fully upgraded version at 0:48? I appreciate these budget videos because I tend to hoard my rare/mythic wildcards for meta explorer decks, which are really expensive.

The good news is a lot of these decks are based on meta decks and I've already played a lot of them, so I'll be including links to nonbudget decks with most videos. I showed the Samut Haste deck at the beginning of this video, and I plan to play that soon after I'm done upgrading all the decks. So hopefully that works! :)

This deck started badly for me, went 5-12 but have done 12-9 since for combined 17-21 in standard, unranked, best of 1. Like the concept behind this deck but not sure if maybe need to tweak it a bit or juice it up some to make it more competitive. Find that in the losses, things just didn't play out well, either didn't get land or opponent countered or was draw against aggro.

Any suggestions for an alternative to Racers' Ring to make this rotation proof? I know this vid is 8 months old but I'm like 1.5 weeks old and just found this video.

Any dual land you have is fine! The rare ones that can enter untapped are best, but Bristling Backwoods can work if you don't have any of the rares to add. The good news about rotation is we usually get a new batch of decks, so you started at just the right time! Not only did you get all these decks, but in a couple months we should have 10 more. :)

I cant play this in spark ranked, how do I play standard format? Do i need to reach a higher rank?

@NoFoOd4U78 I ended up fixing it. You can't play this deck that low, but if you complete spark ranked you're fine.

Weird! My only guess is there is an alchemy re-balance card in the deck that's locking it in alchemy. It should be standard-legal otherwise.

@@AffinityforMTG no bro, I was playing alchemy, game never told me I can’t play til I unlock it first 😐 I’m new and I had to play 5 alchemy, then 5 brawl and finally im able to test this deck in standard lol thanks for the tips I’m still learning and my best deck so far is the phyrexian you recommended 🫡
