The hardest thing for me when I first started hard-tube water cooling is taking the measurements of the bends. I see that you had your hard tube angles secured to a mesh plate, I think elaborating on how you took your bend measurements would be very helpful. I've seen other youtubers do their own way, but any help for anyone new to doing hard line tubing would help.
@benjameslewis4 жыл бұрын
Exactly, none of these KZbin videos show you the most important thing, on how to take your measurements between ports/fittings when a double 90 degree bend is required. Where do you mark the tube to take into account the bend allowance.

When measuring and bending the tubes, do you leave a little extra length on the ends or 1 end, which allows you to sand or grind the end down to make a perfect fit?

Can you do a hard line video tutorial with specific parts? Im trying to build a beast and I want to do hardline cooling for cpu 7950x and gpu 4090 with two 360 rads. But I'm kind of lost on how to go about it. I have plenty of time for planning though cuz I am still working on acquiring all the needed parts. Or if nothing else could I consult you? I'd be willing to pay for help.

Would you recommend a custom distro plate instead of a cylindrical reservoir for a small form factor build? Currently running Threadripper 1950x and a 1080ti in a micro ATX build and the GPU gets a little toasty.
@bittech16 жыл бұрын
Personally I feel that to be one of the best uses of distro plates, you could replace a panel with one and be left with a lot of additional room compared with a tube res, especially if the pump is also built in.

That ASRock motherboard looks so badass. I just ordered Barrow 12mm OD fittings with Barrow 12mm PETG tubing and the tubes have a really hard time going into the hardline fittings. I am hoping its just from the heat from the shipping from China. Both are metric (12mm) so everything should fit nicely, but I have no clue. Have you seen this before?

Upon drainage could you use the pressure tester to pump into the highest part of the system and then use the pressure to force the water out of your drain port, also how would you get the water out of the lower part if the rad?

Nice Video, you do really great stuff.. i like to watch all you offer... this time you did reverse the flow direction of the CPU-Cooler Eisblock XPX. Good for the Flowrate, but worsens the Cooling! Also you did ot mention, that the Liquid you use, is only for showeffect and the manufacturer recommends to "not" leave it in the loop longer than "ONE WEEK" I had to learn this after i bought two bottles for 30 Bucks. Everybody should know: The Eiswasser Pastel Liquids are not recommended by Alphacool to be left in any Loop for longer than "ONE WEEK". I am using Liquid.Cool CFX now, which is based on liquid color and not powder, the manufacturer recommends a maximum of "ONE YEAR" with PETG Tubes for the same price.

Should i buy the df500? They are saying i have to remove the storages slots for hdds to fit in the psu
@bittech16 жыл бұрын
That’s an interesting point, I don’t think you would need to remove them in a standard stock build though. We did anyway as we don’t have an HDD in this system so it made sense to get some extra cable room. There’s not a colossal amount of room down there. The PSU in this build is quite compact though, if you have a longer one I can see it potentially being challenging.

Currently building my own custom loop. I'm still not safe with the coolant I will use. Pastell white or simply clear, and I'm leaning towards the clear one. Which is the best biocide considering that I've got PETG tubing and Nickel covered blocks?
@christoph60556 жыл бұрын
And what about silver killcoils?
@brechanfraser57976 жыл бұрын
No need for silver kill coils if using a clear coolant as the coolant will have the necessary ingredients to keep it algae free
@christoph60556 жыл бұрын
I meant distilled water. But a clear coolant could do it too, which one would you recommend?

Very suddenly I got a craving for milk now.
@B1G_Dave6 жыл бұрын
How often have you got to change the coolant and how do you do that?
@bittech16 жыл бұрын
Once a year for most coolants is a safe bet. Planning a drain system into your loop makes things much simpler, in this build all you have to do is open that valve and the coolant will flow out. Then you simply flush the loop a couple times with distilled water, drain again and then add your new coolant back in.
