I'd love an "unlikely these outfits work"-video! You know, like some food is like "what?? These things together???" and then it works amazingly. The way French fries and vanilla ice cream tastes like waffles together, but with clothes

Just a heads up, a lot of the clothes we return become textile waste. Brands don't want to resell the stuff in the same area so they move it somewhere far away, where clothes sellers pick out stuff to sell forward and the rest gets scrapped and thrown into landfills. Textile waste is a bigass problem. So try thinking hard before purchasing something to decrease the possibility of having to return it. Just my two cents. ✌️

Shopping in person is good. I miss the try on clothes days lol A lot of these lgbtq clothing brands are so expensive for me especially the Androgynous ones 🤦🏾♀️ I do like their clothes & like what you said go for the sales it really helps.

"I can't be out here in these rags!" 😆 I agree with resisting the urge to toss everything and slowly upgrade instead. Yes, I think I'll take a short shopping break as well. I've been out here buying up everything.

I went through a fanatic and extremely obsessive consumerist phase a few years ago and what I did was to sign for about two dozen email newsletters from all sorts of stores: the big players, like Ssense, End Clothing, Mr Porter, Barneys (RIP), etc.; smaller boutique/niche stores (find ones that fit your aesthetic!) like Standard & Strange, Blue Owl Workshop, Union LA, Indigo and Cotton, etc.; brands like Acne Studios, Etudes, Cos, etc. Also don't forget international stores (especially Canadian ones!!) like Haven, (I already mentioned Ssense and End), Oi Polloi, LN-CC, Luisaviaroma, Slam Jam, etc. The international ones can be annoying since you have to pay usually at least $20-30 on shipping costs alone unless you receive a free shipping promotion (in which case it can be a steal). Also if you purchase from an EU country you will receive a 20% automatic discount from the list price because the VAT only applies to EU consumers. Pair that with a potential free shipping and it's amazing. Currently you can order up to $800 worth of goods before customs requires you to pay taxes. After receiving regular emails for a while, I can sort of get a feel for how often sales occur with each store and then unsubscribe from the ones that don't offer many. It's definitely very time consuming but occasionally you can strike gold, especially around the holidays. Also one thing I've noticed is that European stores offer sales much less often than American and Canadian stores. Since I follow multiples stores which offer the same brands, I can compare and contrast the offers, as well as take into account if they offer free shipping and/or free returns (look out for restocking fees).

Thanks to you i have started going in on shopping for accessories. Its something I never focused on enough, so some outfits have payed for that lack of effort lol. I have different styles i like to play with so it has been fun meshing them together at times. Also i too love shopping online far better than in person, i spend more but i think thats because it's more convenient like we can filter things lol Honey be coming in clutch sometimes with the promo codes also, i have saved so much 😍

Great video!! Totally love your channel, and you explain everything so well Jade! And I actually think I'm doing a good job while upgrading my closet, I have a couple of new accessories (awesome chains for my trousers and cool necklaces), and I'm doing it slowly, keeping some old stuff and learning on the way, also because the planet doesn't need me buying a thousand new things plus throwing others away haha.

I bought a few pairs of Asos trousers and really like the brown Asos x Collusion balloon trousers. Saw you were wearing some in your early video on this channel. This is the first piece of professional clothing I've ever bought, I even had a moment with my roommates where she instructed me on how to tuck in a shirt properly. Hope you get a ton of sponsorships.

buying clothes on a budget is hard because it took a while to realise...clothes are expensive, and buying the extremely cheap clothes just aint worth it. So I'm tryna learn that I don't need to buy an entire wardrobe each time I shop. I just need to chill, buy an item or two if I feel it and move on
