Does the foot fit each end of the batt... such a bad look the lead 3/4 the way up..

Good question! The feet are a simple screw, so they will screw in either end!

I love the equinox equipment I have a equinox, T-bar light I had it since 28 December 2017 And I have got thousands of hours of use on it, and it has lasted me. It is starting to show some signs of wear as in some of the LEDs are starting to die, but it is well worth my money. I have one of them equinox, light bars that is showing in the video and it already has give up. I haven’t even had it two years, but some of the LEDs are flickering, which means I can’t use it for what I need it for is my understanding that these lights are designed to be on for hundreds of hours without them failing. I have used mine as a bedroom light which mean it is on for most of the day I don’t think that should cause it to fail The only reason I cannot use it for what I wanted it for is because of the flickering I need all my lights to be controlled through the bmx and if the lights are flickering independently That means I cannot use it

What’s the point of having 54 shows inbuilt shows, or however many it is, but having no plug in controller that can access them? Like you are going to be pressing buttons on the fixture mid set to change modes? A simple plug in controller where you can save say 20 shows to buttons 1 to 20 and have tap sync for speed, and a strobe override, would make these truly useful for mobile djs. I don’t understand why it’s so hard to do.

You use a DMX controller
@kristoffscuba54663 жыл бұрын
Material Girl - which mobile DJ controller has 54 scene buttons which can be recalled mid-performance with a press of the button? And also has speed control for the built in shows? None do. Thats the problem. Mobile DJs need to able to recall scenes on the fly with one button press, and no manufacturer of fixtures aimed at mobile DJs seem to understand that. They build in the shows, but don’t let you easily access them. We don’t want to be programming chases into DMX controllers we just need to be able to quickly jump to the built in shows.

@@kristoffscuba5466 Just about any DMX controller. Something simple like the Chauvet Obey 40 would work. It'll do 240 scenes and speed control. But there are a ton of cheap controllers that will do this.
@kristoffscuba54663 жыл бұрын
Material Girl the obey 40 has 8 scene buttons, 16 if you count both pages. So you’ve dropped from 54 built in shows on a fixture (or how we many the fixture has) to 16. Plus to select a scene you have to be in programming mode. There’s no way to control the speed of that built in show using that method. Those cheap controllers are designed for creating chases, which is ok if the fixture is a load of led par cans, but useless for quickly choosing one of the the complex built in shows like the ones shown in this product video on the fly. It makes the built in shows pointless as you can’t actually access them during a performance. Someone needs to make a stand alone dmx controller that looks like an akai mpc,, with 50 scene buttons and two or more pages, and a fader that you can map to speed. Map each button to a built in show value and map the fader to the built in show speed channel on the fixture, and boom, done. No one makes one though. You can do it with an mpc and software but it’s a pain to set up.

@@kristoffscuba5466 I used an Obey for this exact thing. Super easy. There are 240 scenes built in to Obey. Have you used DMX before? The buttons each control a scene and there are 30 banks x8 scenes. And the Obey has midi so if you wanted to pull up the scenes with an MPC that is super easy to do as well. It responds to midi note info. Each note on the MPC could be a different scene. I am just using the Obey as an example of a cheaper DMX controller. Realistically, if you put a controller like the obey or any 3 channel controller in program mode it's only one fader that goes thru all the presets, including sound mode. Another for speed. the 3rd would select static colors.

would be cool if some brought out a dj controller to work these/ wonder if pioneer would ever do something like that.

Such a shame the sockets for power and dmx are on the side of the unit (when used vertically as per the video). Would have been nicer to have been hidden behind the unit ?
@djkit3 жыл бұрын
That seems to be a very common request, perhaps they will implement it on a mk2?
@TroyRudd4 жыл бұрын
I'd pay $100 ea. for these if they were easily controlled w/ a bluetooth app, or even a simple IRC (Like Chauvet's IRC-6)

bad idea having inputs on side they look messy ...battery powered and remote controlled 2.4 ghtz remote like ape labs would be ideal and i and everyone would pay more for that as you dont need to point the remote directly at it and so they could be used for uplighters as well as FOH and they would sell absolutley tons of them this way for more money.. this is a good effect but its very flawed they could have at least put the dmx input output at bottom with power or all on back not halfway up the middle ...made by idiots.

This seems to be a reoccurring complaint! Hopefully they will make the change if they bring out a MK2!
